Seething after that, not been so angry after a match for a long time. Mainly because Shola inexcusably played 90 despite looking comatose after half an hour. There's no plan there at all, it's all about hoping for individuals, why the hell we didn't give Marveaux more of the ball was beyond me, he was our only threatening player and yet completely bypassed him for the majority of the match.

Fair enough starting Shola but he looked absolutely knackered after half an hour, how he finished the game is beyond me. His panic substitution move is fucking disgraceful too, the players had no belief at the end in their attacking play. A shambles.

Honestly, he has every right to be fuming. How must he perceive this? It just seems as if Pardew has no faith in him.

I really wouldn't be too worried about pressure. The guy was pertty much the sole provider of goals at relegation-threatened Freiburg (until he left), he's fine shouldering it, in fact I think he thrives on it.

It's going to be absolutely amazing having a defender with some decent attacking ability, putting crosses in with their natural foot. Really can't wait to see him play.

I literally have no idea how this could pan out I actually think we could give them a going over but I could similaraly see them romping away with it too. Certainly one of the hardest matches to predict, taking everything into account.

I'd play him tonight but in one of the wing spots, Cisse should be the main man now, we need to get him firing for when Ba inevitably leaves.

I think we need to play Ba in this, he's too important to leave out but if he is to start, it should no way be in the middle. Ba's clearly not going to be here much longer, we need to prepare for life without him from now on but we won't be ale to do that if he's still the player the team's built around. He needs to be phased out.

The club has zero say in what he does though. Ba could well let the situation rumble on waiting for clubs to meet his terms but ultimately the club has no say. Ba will either find a club to give him what he wants or he won't. I know there's nothing we can do about it, it was just an observation that we really have too many important fixtures coming up, so I hope it gets sorted quickly!

We need that replacement in pretty sharp. We've got a bunch of winnable fixtures coming up, so they'd better get a forward in quick.

If we get Remy, or someone of his ilk in, then I think the team will have more balance and we'll score more from a collective standpoint and be stronger. We're still a decent team when you look at our current players (minus Ba of course) but we need a quality forward in for that left hand slot to really push on. I think we'll get a replacement and look a better team, I also think Cisse will come good again too. On a side note, Debuchy will be a great addition, it will give other teams a lot more to think about when they play us.
