2 of his chances were cracking saves. That low Debuchy cross was a lot more difficult than it looked, their 'keeper was out like a shot.
-
Great first half, even with our dysfunctional wingers, we still created a lot, and the structure of the midfield was really perfect. Anita sat in front of the defence well and sprayed the ball about, with Cabaye and Marveaux ahead of him working their magic. We should have been at least 2 up by half time, but I thought their keeper made 2 excellent saves in particular. Second half was atrocious. They were never in the game until that embarrassing substitution, so I don't buy any of this bull about us needing a tackle in the middle, but why even take Marveaux off? Considering he's actually fit. We shouldn't ever think about shutting up shop while 1 up at home, it's a game that is so rarely won by a team. Jonas and Shola finishing the game says it all. We do need some players in, but we also need a manager that actually believes in the players he has.

How the fuck he lasted 90 minutes is beyond me. -
Played much better in a 3 man midfield, shock horror. Hope his injury isn't too serious.
-
This dafty's trying to say they were bossing the second half before the changes It was more even, yes, but they were hardly threatening, the need for a 'tackle', as he put it, just wasn't necessary. Even so, why take off a player who's actually fully fit before the one who hasn't played a full match in 2 months. Imbecile.

Jonas and Shola in the same team man, this is going to be depressing. -

Unbelievable -
I doubt we'd have told him he'd have played exclusively wide for us, we know Pards loves to tinker every 2 minutes.
-
I'm amazed nobody's snapped him up already. It would be a major coup if we got him, I'm not particularly confident mind, I think this will just spur other clubs to get him in.
-
Really surprised we've not been linked with Gouffran. He's exactly what we need at the moment.
-
Gouffran's the best option out there for us now, I hope we get him in. He's shown good scoring form (in different positions) for the last 2 years.
-
I think M'Vila's a bit of an unnecessary signing for them too. They're woeful at the back, they have an abundance of options in the middle.
-
They're massively risky signings, but I'm sure people thought that about us last year. Can't say I'm not gutted Remy didn't come here but I don't think he'll provide enough goals for them and it looks as if they're going to rely on him as the sole goal scorer.
-
This could be his honeymoon period, there are some absolutely rotten players in there, I don't think they'll stay up.
-
Aye, he didn't even want to meet Redknapp as of a week ago and they're trying to claim it's not financial

The idea of this is just depressing. -
They haven't come into effect yet so we really don't know exactly how they'll affect any club. I know they haven't, supposed to be implemented next season aren't they? Clubs mustn't be fearing it though, QPR already have an apparently terrible wages to turnover ratio and were needing to cut back as of 2 weeks ago, and yet they can go and spunk money still.
-
I doubt he'd even have heard if QPR before the summer. Sickening that a tin pot club can just go and spend willy nilly, despite having nowhere near enough resources to really fund it. I always assumed that FFP wouldn't come down on the big boys but would impact the lower level clubs that do overspend like QPR, going off comments on here tonight however, it seems I was mistaken. Absolute farce.
-
Yep, proper seething. Like Modric all over again. Certainly a better option than anything other than Cisse, but what isn't. Gomis would be an unlikely but class addition, not convinced he could play alongside Cisse though and he doesn't play out wide. We really need a winger-cum-striker. Think it is highly unlikely we will get anyone in that mould now. Maiga's better through the middle but has played wide left before, he's got a bit of pace and power, as well as some trickery. He's also left footed which would be a bonus, we're lacking lefties on their natural foot. He's not ideal but would be a very decent option indeed, it's just a shame about the ACON.
-
Maiga's a very handy player, we could do a lot worse.
-
The man is such a c***, even worse he'll be laughing his saggy chops off over this, with the media gushing over him and his s*** craic. No money to spend my arse, the man's a parasite, hate is a word I use very little but I genuinely detest him.
-
If he goes to QPR, then it says it all. I just hope we've not put all of our eggs into one basket. Seems amazing how quickly this has all changed from this morning/afternoon though, I can't imagine QPR have offered anything different than before. Harry's a fucking cunt though, after all his shitty comments about being tighter financially, hoe they get fucked by FFP if the deals goes their way.
-
We've always known he's incredibly ambitious, he has much more to him than simply scrapping about the lower end of the division. As he said, he wants to be competing with the best players in the world, that's not going to happen here if things continue as they have.

No need to start the likes of Perch here. Reading are hardly physical in the middle and we can overrun them with our energy and win the midfield battle, with 3 comfortable ball players. Krul Debuchy Willo Colo Santon Anita Cabaye Marveaux Remy Cisse Obertan We've got Anita to cover our full backs with his pace and positioning, he's also got excellent quick distribution. Cabaye can perform the more box-to-box role, with Marveaux pulling the strings in the final third. I'd prefer to have Remy starting left (if he signs of course) but Obertan is useless on the right, so it's the lesser of 2 evils in that sense. We can win this with a positive attitude, they're a plucky team with lots of energy but we've got a lot more quality in key areas. I just hope we bring our A game. -
Remy would be a decent fit in a 4-4-2 with Cisse, as he likes to drift wide and work the channels, it certainly wouldn't be like Ba and Cisse occupying the same space all the time. Obviously I'd much prefer 4-3-3 but I think there'd be a decent alternative available if plan A's not working.
