Gouffran's the best option out there for us now, I hope we get him in. He's shown good scoring form (in different positions) for the last 2 years.

I think M'Vila's a bit of an unnecessary signing for them too. They're woeful at the back, they have an abundance of options in the middle.

They're massively risky signings, but I'm sure people thought that about us last year. Can't say I'm not gutted Remy didn't come here but I don't think he'll provide enough goals for them and it looks as if they're going to rely on him as the sole goal scorer.

They haven't come into effect yet so we really don't know exactly how they'll affect any club. I know they haven't, supposed to be implemented next season aren't they? Clubs mustn't be fearing it though, QPR already have an apparently terrible wages to turnover ratio and were needing to cut back as of 2 weeks ago, and yet they can go and spunk money still.

I always assumed that FFP wouldn't come down on the big boys but would impact the lower level clubs that do overspend like QPR, going off comments on here tonight however, it seems I was mistaken. Yep, proper seething. Like Modric all over again. Certainly a better option than anything other than Cisse, but what isn't. Gomis would be an unlikely but class addition, not convinced he could play alongside Cisse though and he doesn't play out wide. We really need a winger-cum-striker. Think it is highly unlikely we will get anyone in that mould now. Maiga's better through the middle but has played wide left before, he's got a bit of pace and power, as well as some trickery. He's also left footed which would be a bonus, we're lacking lefties on their natural foot. He's not ideal but would be a very decent option indeed, it's just a shame about the ACON.

Maiga's a very handy player, we could do a lot worse.

We've always known he's incredibly ambitious, he has much more to him than simply scrapping about the lower end of the division. As he said, he wants to be competing with the best players in the world, that's not going to happen here if things continue as they have.

No need to start the likes of Perch here. Reading are hardly physical in the middle and we can overrun them with our energy and win the midfield battle, with 3 comfortable ball players. Krul Debuchy Willo Colo Santon Anita Cabaye Marveaux Remy Cisse Obertan We've got Anita to cover our full backs with his pace and positioning, he's also got excellent quick distribution. Cabaye can perform the more box-to-box role, with Marveaux pulling the strings in the final third. I'd prefer to have Remy starting left (if he signs of course) but Obertan is useless on the right, so it's the lesser of 2 evils in that sense. We can win this with a positive attitude, they're a plucky team with lots of energy but we've got a lot more quality in key areas. I just hope we bring our A game.

Remy would be a decent fit in a 4-4-2 with Cisse, as he likes to drift wide and work the channels, it certainly wouldn't be like Ba and Cisse occupying the same space all the time. Obviously I'd much prefer 4-3-3 but I think there'd be a decent alternative available if plan A's not working.

Anita is in no way a destroyer, we need someone like Tiote in there just sitting when our full backs run on and breaking up play. Unfortunately Anita/Cabaye are no replacement for Tiote in that respect no matter what some think of Tiote these days Saying 'destroyer' makes it sound like you need some physical player, you don't. In actual fact, Anita is our most experienced defensive midfielder and from what I've seen, is our best. He might not have Tiote's power but he's far cleverer, much quicker and has more consistent distribution. I think he'd be an excellent sitter for us and would contribute far more in terms of retaining possession too.

We need some fresh ideas and I certainly think we don't have enough back room staff. Even worse, they all seem like yes men to me.

He might not start scoring straight away but he's an infinitely better attacker than Jonas and Obertan, and that will be a massive plus to us. He's a good footballer, hence why he's so versatile, he can dribble, shoot, pass and as has been mentioned, he has tremendous pace. His biggest asset however, is his excellent movement. I assume he'll play as a left forward and we'll see an immediate difference as he's very direct. I'm sick of watching our wide men not making bursts off the ball, it's a major thing lacking in our game but Remy will bring that, he's got a good brain. Like I said, I don't know if he'll start banging them in straight away, but he will make a massive difference to our chance creation, I really hope this goes through.

I've said it before but I think we've got enough about us in midfield, to not need Tiote as an automatic starter anymore, at least not for most home games. Anita was an excellent defensive midfielder for Ajax and I think that's where he'll be most effective for us. Cabaye can do the box-to-box role and Marveaux can be the number 10. There's a lot of intelligence and tenacity in that midfield, enough to get the better over a lot of teams. Tiote is still an incredibly useful player for us, but he's better in certain types of matches. I'd go: Krul Debuchy Taylor Colo Santon Anita Cabaye Marveaux HBA Remy Cisse
