If you were in his position would you really have the balls to go and pick a really attacking side, when you know that you don't have experienced enough defenders to cover counter attacks. How can anyone say KK is blameless in this? Yeah he had a right to walk but if he really cared so much, he would have at least thought 'the fans have been through enough the last 5 years, let's see if i can work on it till Jan, the teams been playing well and signings have still been good' he then could have quit after that. Tbh its hardly a great time to judge them, defending is about being confident, and making a confident and whole-hearted decision. With confidence so low, they'll be making half hearted and slow decisions, which leads to mistakes.

If Hughton's selection wasn't fucking awful then i think the team would be a lot more confident. The players confidence is fucked as it is, then they see the team put out infront of them, hardly inspiring is it.

Lets not forget some much worse debuts from players that have turned out to be pretty good a la Oba Martins . The lad scored a poachers goal, won some headers, made some intelligent runs, showed a classy first touch and was calm in alot of general play, be supportive of him and he'll only get better.

Hard for Colo coming into this game alone, but he's also got to look after that liability of a LB get Enrique on, Zog on the wing and Milner CF.

Yeah he's been good today, with a more composed partner, a la coloccini might have a good season.
