  1. Pure guess work but Ashley hasn’t taken bid off table and it’s still with PL, we know for definite all communication must go through club. It’s rumoured Ashley is working to save deal, I suspect he’s still in dialogue with consortium and PL to find a way to get this through. Will it happen who knows, but the point being there is a glimmer and certainly discussions are still happening. It’s been reported PIF will return if green light is assured, how they get to that point is for far more skilled people in this sphere than ourselves to work out. Also it’s still worth recalling the Southampton takeover, they initially knocked it back but found a way to restructure it. I still retain hope that Rick Astley will be belting out over the tannoy before Xmas to herald Staveley’s arrival (sorry for the last sentence Shaun). The actual deal expired and no longer exists. In reality, despite what Amanda Staveley said, Ashley probably fucked the consortium right off, by trying to get more money out of them. Careful now, you don't want the usual suspects claiming you hate women by saying things like that. I wasn't looking to point the finger at her. It was right for her to be nice to Ashley as they are/were trying to conduct a business deal, but I'm at a loss as to what is now being discussed if the deal has expired and the PIF have publicly pulled out. I do want to be wrong, I really do, but I don't want to spend any more energy waiting and hoping for positive news. Who says the deal has expired? Publicly pulling out is different to privately as well. I’ve been pretty sure for the last month that things will almost certainly be happening behind the scenes in an effort to get the deal / OD test passed quietly. I really feel that the whole public withdrawal is a ploy to throw Bein, Amnesty etc off the scent, keep it out of the public eye, and get it passed without further public scrutiny. It only became public last time because of the companies house stuff. That doesn’t need to happen this time. In theory the next we would likely hear (providing there are no leaks) is if the deal goes through or not. I'm not sure how easily I'll find it but i'm sure it was very widely reported when the PIF pulled out that the deal had actually expired in April; hence Ashley trying to up the price. Certainly, Amanda Staveley made reference to Ashley wanting more but that it wasn't going to be a problem for them. Also, the BEin/Amnesty objections haven't suddenly gone away. They are there in the PL's head so any privacy now isnt going to make them go away.

  5. If it wasn't for the lack of a fourth sentence, I would have sworn that was Nostradamus. I’ll accept your apology in a few days. That’s been a few days. Heard nothing I genuinely don't understand what people get out of posting stuff like that.
  6. Any chance that silence can mean that nothing is happening and the buyers have moved on ? Also, believing anything that Ashley says All negotiations must be conducted via club, therefore by leaving deal open with them discreet soundings can still be made between parties to seek resolution. Will they be successful who knows, but confirmation deal is not dead. I do appreciate the thinking and fair play to you if you are still able to optimistic about it all. I can't i'm afraid. I also cannot see how it gets past the PL.

  8. Why are you talking like there's something to look forward to?

    Jamal Lewis

If he's such a good player, and the likes of Liverpool are/were interested in him, why would he come here ?
  10. The club isn't worth making any effort for anymore and also, no one one will pay attention anyway. NUFC are very insignificant.
  11. I actually care a great deal about them. I want them all to be heavy and humiliating. Feel bad for wishing that on the players, nowt against them, but it's all about Ashley's club failing miserably now.
  12. Oh no doubt. They'll be aware of our potential for relegation so will be getting tighter rules in force, ready for the next takeover
  13. If it wasn't for the lack of a fourth sentence, I would have sworn that was Nostradamus. I’ll accept your apology in a few days. I'd swear there was someone else, months ago, said something very similar. Can't remember if that was you or not. I wonder what happened to that ITK information. Hmmmm... Rocker. Nah, it was someone different, a name I didn't recognise. I'll never remember now, so much has been said since but the feel of Mimms' post was quite familiar.

  15. Still absolutely staggered reading that that at no point have we been given an update/reason/statement whatever you want to call it on why. Nothing from any party following it all falling to bits. Even more baffling everyone has just dropped it and moved it without answer. PIF probably don't think it's worthy of answer. It was a small cog in their 'Vision 2030' and won't be seen as needing much attention. It's dead. As correctly said by someone else, the lack of communication from the club about it is disgraceful (but not in anyway surprising).
  16. Wasn't sure how it'd look just by reading the posts. I was not expecting what I saw Seems to deliberately guide into the goal.
  17. Press association? The Press Association (PA) is the national news agency for the UK and Ireland and a leading multi-media content provider across web, mobile, broadcast and print. The Press Association’s wire service is called Media Point and is accessible under login. Ah never realised that. Cheers
  18. Correct, everyone is now silent, that is how it always should have been, but that is how it is now and it will remain that way until a decision is reached. We just need to WAIT. On the list you go, WUM.
  19. We know that the PIF pulled out of the deal. Why are you ignoring that fact ?
