They were more or less even on shots and possession, more touches in our box etc. A better team would've taken the chances and then some. Not terrible tonight but just not something we'll win the tournament with in my opinion.

A win is a win, but I feel so deflated yet again with England under Southgate. We'll obviously slime through the group but we're absolutely never winning it like this and that has to be the aim with this team. Not a quarter or semi-final.

The problem at this stage is Southgate will have been preparing and training with this line-up in mind. I doubt he'll massively change it, so I think we're stuck with it for the tournament.

I'd say we've turned a promising start in to a bit of a turgid faff. Squeezing out early 1-0s will never be a way to win tournaments and is just pointlessly risky.

They were hilariously bad for most of the season, to the point we were all amazed he hadn't been sacked. The turnaround was really impressive
