I think he has a slight problem incoming that our best front three, individually, might be Barnes, Wissa and Murphy. However, Murphy must have banged in about 40 crosses tonight. It feels like you need to play Woltemade and Murphy together, otherwise it negates their respective strengths. It's all the more baffling as to why he lined up with Gordon/Woltemade/Elanga against Sunderland. Literally the worst combo of all options

Into these! -- Ramsdale Hall Schar Thiaw Tino Joelinton Tonali Bruno Murphy Woltemade Barnes -- Half-time get Wissa on for Woltemade and give him a good 45 minutes. Get Ramsey on for Bruno at half-time and play him a bit more advanced, and see if he can create anything, and to give Bruno a bit of a rest. We need to find someone in the squad who can create from the middle, and he needs to justify his fee. Think we'll need pace at wing-backs and not really much option to rest Hall or Tino given injuries. Tbh would be tempted to sit Tonali out too for Miley and let Joelinton do all the charging about like a madman.

Crowd will forgive a lot if they can sense the effort and players who are trying to make things happen, even if they fail. I don't blame them getting angsty when there's been zero shots on goal and players making unnecessary mistakes. We almost always play better as the underdog, and I think the home crowd plays a big part in that. I hate watching games we're expected to win
