  1. I rate him. He's quality. And realistic. Could almost call him a 'realistic transfer target summer 2010'...
  2. He's from Dundee, that's why.
  3. Would have liked to see him in the Premiership. Ah well. Chelsea are dying for a player like him.
  4. What a finish by Chopra for Cardiff's first.
  5. tbf Craig Moore is going to the World Cup.
  6. Shouldn't they be looking for a left back? I heard Marcelo wasn't that great... especially in defence. Kolarov's a left back. Yeah but who the fuck is he? £25 million for Enrique I say, the only way they'll beat Barca.

  8. That's close enough. We usually employ cancer specialists it seems.
  9. Where would he play in their line up? In place of Stephen Ireland? A bit harsh on Ireland, really good player him. Ireland hasn't played much this season. And Milner has the attributes that have seen Ireland dropped (workrate and tactical discipline). I suppose he is totally insane aswell. Remember an interview with him where he just talked about his tropical fish the whole time.

  11. Anyway, she's a step up from Nicky Butt, so we shouldn't complain.
  12. Yeah, the money spent on Valdes, Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Messi, Bojan and Pedro was way ott. If only they could build a team around youth products like Madrid or Chelsea. €35M on Dani Alves, €50M+Eto'o on Ibra, €25M on Chrygyrnsgyhychrchrynski, €25M on Henry, €20M on Milito. Alot for Keirrison too, €15M? Now a reported €50M for Villa and €30-40 for Fabregas? That's all in recent times too. However, I understand the youth system is incredible, yes, but I'm sure alot of money is put into it (well spent, mind). Your best players are from the youth academy, this outrageous spending on players isn't necessary, many of your big signings flop anyway. LIST Chygrynskiy was a waste of money granted, and Zlatan cost about £15m too much but other than that it's fine. Pique was a steal, Alves is the best attacking full back in the world and £15m at the time for Henry was good. When teams like Madrid and Chelsea throw money away for fun, Barcelona have to step up and compete. Sorry what was your point in listing all those players? I'm fully aware clubs spend money, I'm merely trying to argue that Barca spending heaps is no different from Chelsea spending heaps. 'oooh Chelsea spent £25m on Essien, what rich scum they are' and 'oooh Barca spent £30m on Villa what a great signing '.
  13. You only had one team in the semi finals this year, we had two, and they are both s****. If they qualified for the UEFA Cup that makes your league s*** then We have 4 wins and 6 finalists in the past 10 years. They all dropped out the champions league as they weren't able to compete in it. I'm sure if our 3rd and 4th placed teams were in it they would shit all over it.

  15. I love how, being NUFC, the appointment already has comedic value through google.
  16. Just listened to that, was pretty funny
  17. The only player I really rate of the ones I listed is Dani Alves and even then it's too much for him. Bullied the other teams interested in him in that respect. I basically don't understand why people get so uptight about Chelsea spending so much but don't bat an eyelid when Barca do it. probably because as pointed out loads of times a large ammount (some would say the core) of the team have come through the ranks there. hoew many of chelseas first 11 and subs played youth team there ? Not many, fair enough, but if you have a youth setup as affluent and expansive as Barca's you would expect that to happen.

Your best players are from the youth academy, this outrageous spending on players isn't necessary, many of your big signings flop anyway. bit of catch 22 there though, if you have 6-7 academy graduates who are all of a very high standard what do you do, not sign 'marquis' players on principle? patch the squad up with cheap fillers and hope the academy lads can run the whole season? niet barca have it spot on imo...it's not like they're paying what they did for ibra and never gonna get any money back if they move him on, henry's the only example of that really and he was a good signing for them at the time they probably pay over the odds but then so do all of the top clubs man u are a good example this season of what happens when the ronaldos and tevezs of this world leave and get replaced with the machedas, owens and valencias...they fall short The only player I really rate of the ones I listed is Dani Alves and even then it's too much for him. 19. Fair enough he says some good things but you can't argue he has been a COMPLETE waste of space/time/money. Catastrophic signing.
  20. Plus it means Palacios never has to venture into the opponents half. Don't get me wrong, he's a great defender but 1 goal and 1 assist in 33 games isn't a great return for a midfielder. EDIT: Looking into it a bit more he has 1 club career goal and 3 career assists
  21. As much as I doubted it when you said it, Fabiano would be decent there.
  22. The guy on Eurosport kept saying 'Gabriel Milito scores for Inter!' He said it so many times it seemed as if he meant it.
