If he was quicker, he would be able to play for Bolton/Wigan and the like. If you were to combine work-rate and technique then compare players on this basis, you wouldn't find a better player in this league. He's the only player in our team with any sort of creative spark as well as having been our top scorer last season. He's a right-winger/second striker and has a bloody good return for his position, in terms of goals and assists. The only problem is, he's getting slightly old. Thankfully, he wants to stay down South (hence rejecting a move to Sheff Utd (He'd only displace his family for ~20k p/w)), so I think he's off to Reading anyway.
Also: if you lot think he's 'beneath' you, or not good enough in any way, you're completely and utterly deluded. You're a Championship team and he has been one of the best Championship players consistently over the past two seasons. You're not going to be signing Lionel Messi anytime soon.
