  1. can't get used to RAWK. Why are all other forums absolute shite layout-wise?
  2. personally I want this David James to turn up, but don't think it'll happen http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00045/hart_280x420_45733a.jpg
  3. If Benny scores, it'll be a ridiculous goal. Honestly, it all depends on which David James shows up. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/107/310567491_bac112d448.jpg?v=0
  4. Mike. If you do win, I hope its a goal by Benny Feilhaber with the assist from Edson Buddle. Because they have funny names. I can't for the life of me imagine any commentator in the world being able to scream 'Benny Feilhaber' in excitement without sounding a bit silly.
  5. saw on his wiki he was at sunderland but never played. Did a Geordie slap him about a bit?
  6. We have this chap called Wayne Rooney. You have The Gooch. I don't think it'll happen. any particular reason you reposted my post, just replacing Onyewu's name with The Gooch?
  7. his wiki says he's played twice for Bolton?! He's been hurt, and I don't know what Bolton are up to. Might have watched five prem games this entire season. He's good, man. God I hope we beat you arrogant bastards. we have this chap called Wayne Rooney. You have Oguchi Onyewu. I don't think it'll happen.

  11. I tweeted Helen Chamberlain in response to her tweet about Sainsbury's refusing to let her have an out of date melon for her pigs last week, and she tweeted me back. Mixing with football's elite am I.
  12. thought similar. Also, why when they get to the midfielders and strikers is there a spare seat? It goes from having a full row of 3 to the window seat being unoccupied. Madness, absolute madness.
  13. more trivia... Scotland have been knocked out in the first round more times than any other team (8).
  14. they moved on to take the piss out of Ferdinand's shit celebration against Denmark in 2002. Richard Bacon was in the foreground talking, while Crouch stood in the background doing the robot.
  15. someone else can do that. I've given up. Also wouldn't say the European Championships are even nearly as big as the WC. They are in that the best 23 players available to each country will get picked. Fewer teams though, decreased chance. Also haven't been going as long as the WC.

  17. so thats 8 representing England, 11 representing other countries :-[
  18. Brazil 1950 George Robledo - Chile (only player at that WC not playing club football in his own country) Sweden 1958 Alf McMichael, Dick Keith & Tommy Casey - all Northern Ireland Mexico 1986 David McCreery & Ian Stewart - both Northern Ireland Japan/South Korea 2002 Andy O'Brien & Shay Given - both Republic of Ireland Germany 2006 Craig Moore - Australia Jean-Alain Boumsong - France South Africa 2010 Jonas Gutierrez - Argentina
  19. Give me 10 and I'll draw up a list (I'm bored as hell)
  20. pointless NUFC/England world cup trivia. All players to have been playing for NUFC while in an England WC squad... Brazil 1950 Jackie Milburn Switzerland 1954 Ivor Broadis Mexico 1986 Peter Beardsley France 1998 Alan Shearer David Batty Robert Lee Japan/South Korea 2002 Kieron Dyer Germany 2006 Michael Owen
  21. I wonder (say since 1966) how many of their players have represented England at a major tournament, or even got caps during qualifying. Sewpa Kev aside and not sure if he featured in any proper games I can't think of any. aye, Philips went to Euro 2000. Can't think of anyone else. edit: they had some chap called Stan Anderson in the squad for the 1962 WC in Chile and someone called Willie Watson at the 1950 WC in Brazil.
