sure i read that one of the biggest reasons he wants to leave man city is due to the fact he simply cant go out in liverppol or manchester for getting hassle of opposition fans for his past, cant see how London would change as there are so many teams in the city. If he comes to us we are a one team city and if he gets bothered it will be for his autograph more than owt else. Personally think that will be the deciding factor in his decision.

Agree with Parky to an extent, not in terms of he has to move to be considered a great, Liverpool are one of the most successful teams in history anyway so its not like he has to move to play in top competitions, however if i was a Gerrard and in the past clubs like Real, Barca, Milan teams have shown interest i just dont see why you would be so against playing in another country even if you are a pool supporter, think footballers are extremely lucky to be in a career where the can work in other countries and experience other cultures etc... Even as a Toon fan the tought of Playing for a club like Barca for me would be to good to turn down. You have your whole life to be a supporter.

think it depends what midfield system you play? ask him to get up and down pitch and you have no chance, sit him at the the top of a triangle behind strikers and it may work. Ok long time reader, first time Poster. thoughts about Parker are that: his Newcastle career was over the moment Roeder decided he should be our box to box midfielder. You can say many things about souness (C**t) is my personal favourite but atleast he knew how to get the best out of him. Parker's performances in first season were utterly awesome(Arsenal game) was one of best i have ever seen not for technical ability but for sheer heart and wllingness to win and say you shall not break us down. Lost count the number of times i was sat in my seat and the M.O.M was announced Parker, he became a real fans hero, he also seemed to really fall in love with the place ala Rob Lee. Then Glandular Fever hit and his energy levels fell dramatically towards the end of season meaning his season somewhat ended on a whimper. Second season Rodent in his wisdom decided to send Parker onto the park with the instructions to run box to box for 90 mins and pick up ball around centre circle and see a killer pass. can you see Mourinho deciding to tell Makelele to do that and for Lampard to sit back? didnt think so, que lots of spinning round in a circle frustrating crowd because simply that is not in Parker's footballing brain to do so.
