  1. I'm a reader not a poster so humour me but honestly no keeper on planet earth stops that 3rd the angle he shot it at and the fact he put it in the side netting if anything meant it didn't matter how quick he went down he's getting nowhere near it, I think a Better keeper palms the 2nd over the bar but that's neither here not there darlow was the least of our problems today

    Season Tickets

Anyone know the consequences of cancelling my direct debit if I am on the 10 year season ticket plan? Will th club try and reclaim full cost of ticket for next season? Or will I just lose my contributions already paid for next year.
  3. 160 Eurostar to Brussels From Newcastle one night in Brussels one night in Bruges home on the friday probs could have shaved 15 quid off that with slightly cheaper hotel In bruge but happy with that.
  4. Least he has learnt how contracts work in that he can't be "forced" out like we did with him.
  5. I dont think ive ever seen a manager deal with this type of situation in a worse way than this plonker, happy to invite loans then he would have to be a mentalist to accept loan, hes a great player wont entertain "derisory offers" hes shit and not part of my plans and all gleefully quoted to media
  6. is it a given if we sign carroll we dont get debuchy? if we can get carroll for 12m its a no brainer for me you get it done. we should be targeting winning cups with this team and a good league campaign thats a lot of games carroll/cisse/ba will all get their games.
  7. kagawa looks very good. great awareness and touch
  8. would love johnson but he wouldnt be any more guaranteed a start here than man city which is his main motivation for moving.
  9. is this feature going to be on every home game?
  10. Unless I can't see them the specific questions he was asked for the article are not printed. The director/corporate quotes could easily be explained by being asked the question whether the talks are continuing at a loan or loan then permanent or just permanent transfer

im going with something to do with his horse stables
  12. whoever deals with the admin when planning these trips needs to be fired like, absolute amateur hour

    Joey Barton

totally agree, theres clearly going to be a bigger overhaul of players than we expected and if the new captain and players are to generate the same bond thatthis group have over the past 2 years then we need to eradicate any potential players that may cause frictions with their own beliefs/agendas about previous decisions made. Petulent tweets like his being a prime example
  14. that 40m doesnt buy you his past history here, or his international team mates cabaye and ben arfa, or his bezzy mate tim krul etc etc... just cant see a single reason he chooses them "sunderland" he may choose liverpool or everton though.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

i really f****** doubt we went ahead and paid the 5m fee in january without performing all the tests imaginable to make sure the bone had healed properly. it was also a nice clean breaking not affecting ligaments were the real problems can lie and of course hes not going to be the same player hes broke his leg in two places. he's gonna need a few months off kicking the football around in a competitive environment just to begin recuperation, and as far as ive read he had only just started intense running when he had the setback.......

    Season Tickets

any theories on why the club are extending the flexible capacity of the away end from 2,800 to 4,000? doesnt make sense to me, majority of teams fail to sell their allocation anyway and the ones that do the games tend to be full houses eg. man utd, arsenal, sunderland, liverpool etc... offering those teams 4,000 will only stop newcastle fans watching game at expense of them lot. If there are gaps in seating for those games it tends to be around the premium areas and not that particular area of stadium maybe more should be done to encourage tickets to be sold i those areas, or am i just not seeing the bigger picture?
  17. so because liverpool won shitloads decades ago they really should be the ones challenging up the top end of table not us despite the fact we have /had a better team right now, you take both fully fit teams and keep carroll in ours and we are better side. he should have been making carroll see sense not gushing a delight. it's not like there qualifying for the CL anytime soon. looking forward to seeing gerrards interview with Chelsea tv expressing his delight torres has a chance of winning CL this season. how is moving to liverpool in the current climate a big opportunity??? this is a horrible career move for carroll expectations are huge and his support cast are average. as a football club where on earth are we ever gonna get to if our CAPTAIN is advising our best players of moves to our rivals simply on their history and affection for their supported club, it cant be for there present day team, "players like meireles laying things on a plate" this the same one in which your TEAM MATES Barton and tiote" throughly outclased and bossed only a few weeks ago?? "hopefully a new start for liverpool" er.... the team we are currently one place behind with a game in hand and your happy we have been weakened and they have been significantly strengthened
  18. Kevin Nolan believes Liverpool's swoop for Andy Carroll will see the striker go on to become one of the best in the business. The Newcastle skipper is a big admirer of our new No.9 and struck up a firm friendship with him during his time at St James's Park. The boyhood Red admits it is a major blow for the Magpies to lose their main hitman but feels playing in Kenny Dalglish's side will help Carroll reach his full potential. Nolan told LFC Now: "You are getting a top, top player. Obviously I've had a lot of texts and calls over the last day or so. I'm quite surprised at how pleased everyone is with it. He's only just burst onto the scene in the last six months. "Believe me you have got a top, top player. He's going to be one of the best. There's no-one like him in the league. He'll score and create goals. He'll also show great desire and commitment. That's what Liverpool fans want and deserve. "He's still a young lad. Everyone forgets that. He's great around the dressing room. He's funny in his own witty way and as you know I'm very friendly with him. "I managed to get away with him with a few times last year with a couple of friends of mine who are going to be in Liverpool and can help him settle in. "When we first heard about the move he asked me what I thought. You can imagine my reaction. I was delighted for him. He's going to be a great addition to what is a new start for Liverpool." Carroll has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past 12 months, culminating in an impressive debut for Fabio Capello's England. Nolan acknowledges the forward has made huge strides recently but insists he has always had the talent to develop into one of the best players around. "I don't think anyone could say you aren't surprised (at the speed of his development)," said Nolan. "We always knew he had the talent. It was just whether he had the temperament. He has got that and has everything. "Some things have been written about him that I think have been unfair. When he gets on that pitch with the quality of players you have, with Stevie and the likes of Meireles putting it on a plate for him, he won't let them down. I'm very confident about that. "I loved playing with him. He'll give you everything he has got and make sure the central defenders come off knowing they've had a game. "People say he's an old-fashioned type of centre forward but I'm sure over the next five years or so you'll see that he has more than that in his game. I think it showed in the goal he scored against Liverpool at our place this season, that he has the talent to strike a great ball too. "I'm gutted we've lost him but delighted he's gone to a fantastic club."
  19. if he was any sort of captain he should have been advising carroll of his age and the fact hes just signed a new contract 2 months ago and he'll get the big bucks soon enough and we are building something here if he keeps progressing not fucking go for it andy.
  20. i see our captain Nolan is now on lfctv banging on about what a great signing carroll will be for liverpool, f*** me. wonder when we can expect gerrard to wax lyrical over torres on chelsea tv. un f***ing believable just a little disclaimer i dont know if its a new interview or old one but as i dont have lfctv however it looks like its new looking at description

    Cole vs Carroll

few differences in my opinion: 1) keegan seemed happy for the deal to happen, pardew clearly isnt 2) at the time i seem to recall sir les was chomping at bit to get in a black and white shirt and it was worst kept secret in football he was gonna get his wish either then or the following summer, we have no identified replacement currently 3) with identifying ferdinand and gillespie we seemed to have a plan for going forward still angry then of course he was the tits, however its more an overwelming sense of sceptisicm that unlike the last time where we got stronger as a squad and team i'm not so sure this time we will due to the differnce in pulling power then to now and who owned club then compared to now
  22. no doubt its a long shot be could be an ambitions statement of intent
  23. whats benzema's relationship with ben arfa vaguely remember their egos clashing towards the end of their days with lyon but not 100% sure, if mourinho stays at real then he's out as he really doesnt like him. 15m-20m im guessing would be asking price. if you look at the top level teams in each league :milan (robinho, zlatan, pato, cassano),inter (etoo, pazzini, milito, pandev),barca(their entire team),man utd (rooney, berbatov, hernandez),chelsea (anelka, torres, drogba),arsenal (chamakh, van persie, bendtner) man city (tevez, balotelli, dzeko) all seem to have their strikers locked up maybe he will have to look at the next batch of teams down and we in theory have the money
  24. being a big fan of the pink panther films i feel the only solution to see whos to blame for this mess would be to follow a similar ruse as the great inspector clouseau in " a shot in the dark" which is to gather all the suspects (Ashley,Llambias, Carroll, Agent, Pardew) in one room switch off the light and quickly switch it back on whoever is running out of room is clearly the "murderer", however just like the film i have a sneeky suspicion we would see that they are all guilty and are all trying to do one. maybe jim white can play the role of the inspector.
