  1. the problem is: football is won on goals not chances and martins is continually failing on that matter, honestly why is he so slow with the ball at his feet. Ah thats right he has no football brain at all, why else would a striker with his pace never look to get behind the back four.
  2. in todays chronicle that he has forked out another 45m to help clear debt.
  3. dont really see the empty seats for games a problem to be honest in regards to atmosphere, another side of the stadium brought round to the same height might even help the acoustics. think we would fill it fot the glamour games but would struggle for the bottom half teams, all depends on what pricing structure the club adopts.
  4. thought the expansion was going to be paid for by the people who want to build the conference centre/hotels etc.. if thats the case cant see how we could turn down the opportunity to expand
  5. riquelme would work in any league as long as you use him correctly
  6. owen is constantly on the search for that edge, sniffing for a chance of getting a shot off, martins isnt he is poor when he is running off the ball and seems to lack reading of the game as its happening.
  7. thing about anelka is he knows how to hurt a team with his assets e.g pace getting in behind/sniffing a chance, martins seems to stand still waiting for something to happen infront of him, if not he will receive the ball drag everything to a standstill and then try some close control that will instantly result in having the ball took off him. if someone can drum into him the runs that owen makes he would be awesome until then i would swap him for anelka in a heartbeat. martins has such raw ability its untrue but he just stands and watches, unless he learns how to move when the ball isnt at his feet he will never make the main grade as the main striker. i've never seen a player with such raw pace play infront off the back four, you watch the game he seems to refuse to attempt to get inbehind the fullback, look at his goals when has he raced away behind back four and slotted home?a couple? thing about owen is that, can you see martins steal into the near post ala west brom, blackburn etc.... that owen has in his career? answer no he will have his hands on his hips throwing a bitch fit on the edge of the box when he miss controls etc..., Martins is explosive and a player i would love to see develop at the toon but 13m is way too much for his abillties at the present time and if anelka is going for 12m as is reported thats a 1m profit.
  8. custis is big pals with allardyce, one day after season finished he said the first player allardyce woul buy would be barton, wouldnt be at all suprised if this has some truth in it
  9. good signing, wouldnt be put off by his age he's like cafu in how much pace and energy he has perfectly suited to the premiership game.
Vamos, que al final el Barça y el jugador han tenido que claudicar pues la oferta azulgrana superaba los 5 millones de euros y la del jugador llegaba a los 75.000 euros semanales. roughly translated: in next the forty and eight hours the hero of Paris can stop being player of Barcelona and to file by the Newcastle. His brother and representative are in Barcelona to try to close the operation as rapidly as possible. Four million euros are the number that in the end will receive Barcelona by the lateral crossing of the Brazilian and the player will sign a contract by three years at the rate of a wage of 70,000 weekly euros. We go, that in the end the Barça and the player have had to waver because the azulgrana supply surpassed the 5 million euros and the one of the player it arrived at the 75,000 weekly euros. in the catalan paper sport.es looks like a deal is close
  11. not difficult just think he is too easily nulified if a team plays a high line as he doesnt have the trickery nor pace to cause a problem
  12. Bentley strikes me as the type of winger/midfielder that allardyces loves in that his ball retention, crosses, set pieces are generally always on the money, scores a goal or two aswell. The fact that allardyce loves to play the percentage game and bentley's reliability of his end product it wouldnt suprise me at all if we are in for him in the future, take a hefty bid though.
  13. Downing infront of Milner?dont think i have seen downing take a full back on ever, everytime i watch boro he looks to get it in the box from wherever he is on the pitch. awful player.
  14. yeah just seen the squad properly, plenty of cover there so i would imagine he will be dropped from squad for qualifiers, great for him to train with terry campbell etc.. for a few days
  15. cant believe he's in ahead of lescott, not complaining at all like as this can only be good for his development could understand if this was a run of the mill friendly but this is vital prep for our qualifiers and think lescott is far ahaed of taylor in terms of reliability for such an occasion in my humble opinion.
  16. cheers mate, will drop them an e-bomb.
  17. on a seperate note, anyone know if you can get other adidas shirts printed at shop apart from the toon? have a bayern top thinking of getting Ribery on back. cheers
  18. sport.es which i think is the catalan sports paper saying we have offered 4.5m euros for him.
  19. sammy lee on bolton website saying he didnt travel as rumours might not have him in right frame of mind, he's a bolton player until someone tells him different. he's ours.
  20. shapeshifter man, he is evrywhere thats why he is so itk.
  21. bbc lists arent official, bolton website article dated yesterday, newspaper reports saying he was pulled out late last night when fee was agreed, think to many papers have reported this for it not to happen.

    Want Diouf?

how does he disrupt harmony? he is one of the most popular figures in the bolton dressing room dont confuse how the opposition fans/players see him to that of his teammates, read various interviews and see clips on sky from Nolan etc.. saying diouf is the joker in the squad and an extremely popular figure sure trotter if he shows his face on the board after the weekend will agree.

    Want Diouf?

think diouf would be great signing replacing dyer, already knows formations allardyce uses, immersed in the dietary requirements set out, has great quality at set pieces think he has improved immensely under allardyce at Bolton. would be a huge asset at st james especially in home games were i expect us to have alot high percentage of the play in the final third than previous seasons.
