  1. I'd be so mad if Pochettino went to Villa. If Man Utd were smart, they'd sack Ole and install him in now. Someone like Ole will run Rashford into the ground. Imagine Poch coaching him.
  2. Lovren comes across great in interviews. Total staraight shooter. Scored an absolute rocket for Croatia the other night.
  3. I remember a few times he was carrying the ball up the field and ASM pretty much demanded that he pass it to him immediately. Not blaming Sain Max either, it was just the time and place of the situation.
  4. Just watched this. I think it further reinforces just how much of a wanker he was and still is. His explanation for his use of the quenelle was pure horseshit. Enjoyed the watch, but thought the same really after finishing it. Misunderstood? Seems like pretty much we all understood his career perfectly fine. Felt like he followed the money every chance he got. Admired his drive to become and elite player but all of his reasoning was phony.

    England

Williams at Man Utd? Or is he Welsh or something daft like that? The left side is def alarming. I’ve seen Williams play a few times and I don’t think he’s anything special. Ok defensively but he doesn’t have a clue going forward. Maybe Bertrand? He’s a solid, reliable and experienced. The type of LB I like, too - thin and lanky. As for Rice. I felt he was the reason we lost the Nations League but post lockdown he was West Ham’s best player. I was really impressed by him. I’d like to what he can do now that his game has grown. Hopefully he can continue his form with better players around him.
  6. No doubt. I do like the transfer podcast though. Dharmesh has such a low opinion of himself that the guest feels comfortable and talks and talks. The Sir Les one is great for this. A lot of time spent talking about his time here and the circumstances that led to his departure.
  7. Darmesh’s transfer podcast is pretty good tbf. Kaveh is a creep for sure.

    Jeff Hendrick

Mick McCarthy on Jeff Hendrick Steve Bruce asked Mick McCarthy about him and this is what McCarthy told Bruce. “Steve rang me to ask about him and whether he’d be a good signing – and I told him exactly what I’m telling you. I just said: “Yes. In a heartbeat.” “They were my first words. I think it’s a great signing. You don’t get too many as good as Jeff on a free transfer, that’s for sure. It’s an unbelievable bargain for Newcastle and I think he’ll be great for Steve. “He’s been doing it for Burnley for four years in the Premier League. For me he was brilliant. I think he’s a very good player, he’s athletic, he’s got a good touch, he can see a pass and he’s got a goal in him. I said to Brucey: ‘He’s all of those things and he’s 6ft 1ins, 6ft 2ins – he can defend corner kicks as well.’ “I think there’s more to come from him as well, he’s got more to offer than he’s shown so far. “People will say Burnley this or that but they keep finishing well in the Premier League and he’s been involved in that. “He played narrow on the right for them and what I love about that is it’s not really his position but does he moan? Does he whinge? Does he hell. He just gets on and plays. “He does what he does, fits in and does a job. I loved him with Ireland. He was terrific for me. He scored the winner in our first game, getting into the box and he’s got an eye for goal. “You talked about mentality up in the North East. He’s got no hang ups. He’s a proper bloke. I didn’t see any hang ups in him. “He played international level – he played against good teams in Switzerland and Denmark and did very, very well. He was as good as anyone else on the pitch in those matches. “We played 4-3-3 and he played centrally. He’s a nice option to have narrow on the right if you’ve got a man like Allan Saint-Maximin who wanders and does damage in the box in a freer role. “Jeff is a very safe option in that formation because he’ll offer that back-up and I’m sure there’ll be some consideration of that.”
  9. Think he’s a good player. Would be my England first choice LB. Think people think he’s a lot older than he is. He’s only 23. Also remember that game he had against Montenegro? He had to be involved in at least four of the goals in that game.

    Jeff Hendrick

Burnley fans perspective on Jeff Hendrick signing for us. https://www.uptheclarets.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49341 I’m even more excited. The consensus seems that they’re losing a valuable player.

    Jeff Hendrick

Just reminded me of this Ahh he’s just picking on an old guy who’s clearly enjoyed a movie.

    Jeff Hendrick

Was he Burnley's best midfielder? I genuinely can't differentiate between them all. Can't lie I'm pretty excited by this. Burnley are pretty much are level to us if not better so for us to get him, I'm pretty thrilled with this.
  13. Really? i’ve really enjoyed it. Thiago best player on the pitch so far.
  14. Both teams in the final had the longest breaks.
  15. Cisse. Even enjoyed his later seasons. Still think he could do a job for us. 22 goals in the Turkish league 19/20 season
  16. Wonder who out of this Sevilla squad will end up at Barca.
  17. Not like it’s gonna happen but I wouldn’t want him anyway. Injured far too often.
  18. Must mean they’re not getting Morelos who’s been starting for Rangers in the SPL restart.
  19. Think this is a good signing triggs[/member] ?
  20. Think Switzerland had paper thin shirts that would rip if tugged upon at the last Euros. Almost all of their players had torn shirts by the end of the games they played.
  21. Would rather have James McCarthy. Was able to play 33 times last season. Aston Villa, Leeds United, Newcastle United and West Ham are interested in Crystal Palace and Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy, 29. (90Min)
  22. So obvious Eduard and Frimpong from Celtic are destined for big things. If we had any ambition, we’d be looking to sign them.
  23. Sorry if posted somewhere else. This looks really interesting. Coming August 5th on Netflix.
  24. He also cost Bournemouth £20 million.
  25. Think that’s a fair fee - perhaps even a bargain. 25 and has played almost every game for Bournemouth three seasons running.
