  1. I noticed there was a lack of it against Celtic, wonder if it will show it's face today. Whether it's a full time omission or not waits to be seen...
  2. Tbh, even if this is true, I'd settle for us spending £15million (inc Dyer sale) for the rest of the window. We good get two quality defenders and two or so squad players with that.
  3. How the fuck would you know? being there i.e. not watching the fucking Bill You're the cockney bandwagon jumper, not me. You weren't there against Celtic btw, have you forgotten that already? for a damn sight better reason than watching the fucking bill tbh. I was at PSV and Fener last year though, no doubt you were still watching the bill. and how the fuck can you be a banwagon jumper at my fucking age? and finally, go check an atlas, because if i'm a fucking cockney, you're a filthy mackem So was I SOOPAFAN. I was also at Lillestrom, Villarreal, Wigan, Ventspils, Fulham, Everton, Levidia, Bolton, Portsmouth, Charlton, Sheff Utd, Celta, Portsmouth again, Reading, Watford, Chelsea, Spurs, Bolton (a), Man Utd, Birmingham, West Ham, Villa, Liverpool, Waregem, Middlesbrough, Alkmaar, Citeh, Arsenal, Chelsea and Blackburn. If you want to play soopafan Top Trumps, I've got you every day of the week, Vic. Oh and: http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=19915.msg368473#msg368473 That's what makes you a bandwagon jumper - your own admission. And you've got the brass neck to call the rest of us for only supporting when we're winning? Give your head a shake. You've just fallen for his wind up. Hook, line and sinker.
  4. For all we know it could well be Allardyces idea. He could well be worried that he's spending far too much time trying to sort out new players and not enough time with the players he's got already. He knows Keegan could sell the idea of moving to Newcastle to just about anyone, so asked for him to be brought in. Sam identifies his targets, Keegan goes and gets them.
  5. What's Mr 3 yellows got to do with this?
  6. Link Arsene Wenger is considering hiring former Newcastle United manager Glenn Roeder as Arsenal's new sporting director. The manager has been short of support in playing matters since the departure in April of vicechairman David Dein, who was active in deals to sign players.Secretary Ken Friar has helped with the administration of contracts but the manager also wants a football man to work with. Scroll down to read more: It was thought he might turn to a fellow Frenchman, with the names of former Arsenal scout Damien Comolli and ex-Gunners players Remi Garde and Gilles Grimandi being advanced, along with Wenger's friend Gerard Houllier, the former Liverpool manager. Wenger's relationship with Comolli has cooled since the ex-St Etienne technical director took the same job at Tottenham, while Garde is happy as a coach at Lyon and Grimandi is used by Arsenal as a scout in France, a job for which the manager believes him well suited. Houllier, though at Arsenal yesterday to watch the Emirates Cup tournament, is enjoying a rest period after quitting Lyon. Instead, Wenger wants to bring in an Englishman and Roeder fits the bill, with the knowledge of players gleaned during his time as boss at West Ham then Newcastle, from where he was sacked at the end of last season. Wenger was impressed with the way Roeder endured his dismissal, along with his brain surgery of a few years ago, with stoicism and dignity. Wenger, himself, has been offered a new three-year contract, worth around £3million a year — and with an exit clause on his part at the end of each season — but it remains unsigned despite him saying a fortnight ago that it would be done 'soon'. He insists that he wants to stay, and that he believes in the ability of his young squad to challenge for the Premiership title, but it is believed he wants to wait to see how they perform in early season before committing himself for a longer term. That is another reason why he has held fire on appointing a sporting or technical director. He feels it would be unfair to bring in a new man with so much uncertainty, as American Stan Kroenke waits in the background to make a takeover bid. That, too, is thought to be a big reason — along with Wenger's desire to advance young players — for his comparative inactivity in the transfer market, though the board say money is available. Only the Brazilian-Croat Eduardo Da Silva,Frenchman Bacary Sagna and Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski have arrived as senior players for a combined £18m. Wenger, however, will recruit more. "We are still looking to bring one more player in, maybe two, depending on who is available," he said in the programme, stressing that after the departures of Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg "nobody else will be leaving, apart from on loan".Wenger added: "We have a good, strong squad, maybe a bit short in numbers, but we will take our time in bringing new players in." Right-back Sagna was the only new face in a mix-and-match side — Kolo Toure and William Gallas taking 45 minutes each as captain — that beat Paris Saint- Germain 2-1. Matthieu Flamini's goal right on half-time,when he tucked away Nicklas Bendtner's chest-down from Gael Clichy's cross, set them on the way to a fortuitous win. Growing into the game, Bendtner, 19, showed why Wenger has such high hopes of the Dane this season after his year on loan at Birmingham City, when he stabbed home the second. Peguy Luyindula pulled a goal back for the Parisians and Bendtner missed a chance to seal it, his tame penalty saved by Mickael Landreau after Zoumana Camara bought down Alexander Hleb. Arsenal today take on Italian champions Internazionale of Milan, beaten 2-0 by Valencia, with Jaime Gavilan and David Villa scoring the goals
  7. That's what I'd play... Well since Troisi doesn't play CM, you're a square pegs in round holes man. A) It's a friendly B) N'zogbia isn't a left back C) It's a friendly D) Milner isn't an out and out left winger E) It's a friendly F) Luque isn't an out and out striker G) It's a friendly H) We can't all be soopafans like you I) It's a friendly N'Zogbia is the best left back we have at the moment, and Milner is probably the best we have on the left wing. Not being soopafantastic, just saying that he doesn't play CM. Since it's a friendly, if he's going to play we may as well put him on in his proper position.

  11. I love the young'uns enthusiasm (sp) , they are the future of newcastle united. I will seriously stop posting on here about Toon Ultras and anything to do with our quiet fans , if someone can honestly give me a some real reasons why we are embarrasing , an doing the club no good , or if you were mature enough to , maybe give us some feedback on what we should change , or do? Not including a name change , as our name is pretty well known amongst toon fans now. We have a banner with our name on , an also a massive banner showing what our aim is!!!!! Carry on as you are. As has been said, avoid anything to do with removal of shoes. Also, avoid shit like hoying bog rolls and streamers etc. Sticks to scarves, banners and flags. I reckon you're doing a canny job, especially when you're in the Gallowgate corner.
  12. You don't have Keegan 7 on your home shirt by any chance do you? You may be right, are you that smoggie bloke? Don't tell him! He's obviously targetting you for some nefarious purpose. Nar, just reckon I might have been sitting behind her on the way to Watford. Aye, me and me mate Gaz (Flintoff on here) would doing accent impersonations all the way back. Mine were just all botched versions of smog Was a canny bus that day like. Aye it was, the bus back from Hartlepool was brilliant this year mind you. Hope it keeps up for the away games this season, better than sitting in silence.... Too true. Bolton bus should be good, first day of the season and all that...
