So assuming everyone lies I still stand by Jose over the club as it's then simply a case of one man showing he has ambition while the club shows little by failing to improve size and depth of squad
We're a stepping stone club at the moment, just like 15 others.
People need to accept that, including the players.
We can't just wander into Europe and sign the top players, they simply don't want to come. We're not a big enough brand for them, the only reason they'll sign for us (Cabaye, HBA etc) is to put themselves in the shop window to get a better move 2/3 years later.

Take a look at the 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 accounts and if you can't figure out yourselves, then fair enough, wait until you see the end of year accounts for last season. I'll be redirecting you to my posts when that happens. Amazes me that people are so easy to be lead around this merry-go-round.
We're showing improvements but we were still operating at a loss. This year it will obviously be at a profit because of transfer fees, problem with that?
I don't get how Jose can be lauded as some sort of hero, when at the end of the day he's lying as well (all footballer lie, don't kid yourself) and the board (that is also lying) is hated.
Everyone in football lies, people need to accept that and think rationally rather than have their head full of bias.

Still can't believe people still defending the 35m not being re-invested in the squad as PROMISED by Pardew and by extension the Ashley/Llambias. Not a penny has been spent. Now add the substantial operating profit the club has achieved with the MASSIVE reduction in wages over the past 3 seasons combined with the BIG increase in TV money income due to the new PL deal. There's a HELL of a lot more than 35m AVAILABLE to be invested in the club, and by choosing to not allow the club to make money off the SD advertising, we would have had even more.
He's taking out money that belongs to him, at the end of the day. But the endless lies, patronising comments and false hopes are what annoys me most. If it's not going to be spent, don't say it it will be.
Can you please send me the clubs accounts?
You've obviously seen them with such an unbiased and insightful opinion....

Cabaye? He says they won't spend on quality players doesn't he? Which is true.
Just won the league in France and gave up the opportunity to play in the Champions League to sign for us. How is he not a "quality player"?
I think Jose's made himself look a bit stupid and petulant tbh.
Yes but we didn't spend £35m on him, so regardless of how good he is it doesn't matter.
If we spent £35m on him everything would be alright though.
nah that would be daft. spending 35 million on making the team better would be a canny idea though. you know, the team? the one you watch every weekend and would like to get better at playing football.
The team has improved since the end of last season...
It seems to me people just want the money spent, regardless on whether or not it actually improves the team.
We've managed to improve it whilst not spending a lot of money, which is a huge deal because the money hasn't been spent.
Easy solution - overspend. Everybody would be happy because we've spent the money that we had to

I do hope someone chins the cunt that did this. No need for that challenge whatsoever. Fucking neanderthal.
When he comes back he's going to be targetted every game, so I'd hope his body is going to be up to it.

Those who are solely believing Jose are pretty daft IMO.
Footballers lie as well, and there's no doubt in my mind that his agent has been in his ear to do something like this. I'm not saying Jose is completely wrong FWIW, but there's a motive behind what he did and it's probably not all truthful.
Pretty stupid tweet, because like we were ever not going to accept £35m for Carroll, and there's also over a month left in the transfer window + we've already brought in quality international footballers.
See you later you c***, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
He's right though.
... and like Barton, if he cared about the fans as much as he says he does he would have kept it quiet.
He's done it to engineer a move, and that's the sole reason for it.
All footballers are cunts.

Fuck me, hope this is the last time we decide to go to the States.
-
We're getting new L.E.D lighting advertising boards at SJP too, which no doubt came out of the Carroll money (despite getting enough to pay for them from sponsorship, I'd imagine)

Not sure if it's been mentioned but he was wearing #10 in the most recent training video posted to NUFCTV

All of this hatred directed towards him is rather pointless in the end.
I don't like the guy, I'd rather somebody else was here - but they're not, so just live with it and accept it.

The Birmingham Mail have a different take on life at Aston Villa as they report the club will step up their re-building process this week although their pursuit of Charles N'Zogbia has got no closer.

I can't see us getting any better than a 10th place finish tbh.
We will most likely sell Enrique, Barton and perhaps Jonas/Colo and will buy inadequate replacements and be funcked like every other season under Fatty...
I will change my mood when we get a classy striker in (8M+)... perhaps a couple of defenders and not selling the above names.
Hiccup!
Wait, so the class of the striker depends on the price?
brb, buying Emile Heskey for £10m.

Rejected:
News:
Neil Lennon has confirmed that Celtic have had a bid rejected for Newcastle's Fraser Forster.
-
Agent is on holiday, hence the delay in the deal getting finalised.
-
IMO the fact that he chose us over Liverpool is a promisin sign, regardless of whether or not he's injury prone!
More of the same please, starting with Jose...

In response to me, when I asked if there was anything in the rumours:
MsiDouglas Mark Douglas@
@shearmagic909 He's not on the list. Not looking to shift him. But if someone comes in with a good offer... Well, you never know

Larrson did f*** all against us when he played for brum, how's he going to be better in a worse side.
Worse side?
If he ends up at blunderland
They finished 8 places above Birmingham though.
Thanks to Henderson, Bent & Gyan
Hang on a minute, according to everyone on here Henderson is awful, make your minds up.
He's not great, but he was a pretty important player for you.

That sunderland team really is shockingly bad.

Best had a nice stretch of games but in reality, is he any more than a 4th striker? He seems to be injured a lot, too. I'm concerned about squad depth as well but 4M for Best looks like good business.
At the moment he's our best striker, isn't he?
And 12 months ago everybody wanted him gone, didn't they?
So if we all want Shola to go now, in 12 months time he'll be....
Still here, because nobody is stupid enough to buy him.
Why kid ourselves? He'll be signing a new fucking contract.
It's amazing how such a truly awful player can spend so long at a top level club.

So keep whinging about it and feeling ill, if it happens, it happens.
Feeling ill isn't going to change that, there's far more important things in life that you can actually control.
