I just don't know who the fuck he thinks he is tbh. £30k to £80k in 13 games? Fuck that.
If he could get that elsewhere, good luck to him and can't blame him for taking it, but don't patronise us with this "I was forced out" bollocks because it does't wash with me you scroat.
Yep. But that was just to try and save face and make the club look like the bad guy, not him.
I don't blame him in the slightest, if I was offered a £50k a year pay-rise (let alone a week), I'd jump in an instance, but I wouldn't try and blame my former employer for forcing me out.
I'm pleased with teh clubs stance, yes, I'm gutted to lose a quality player, but we can't have players holding us to ransom after they've had a good 15 matches. Sets a far too dangerous precedent and we all know what happens when the players are only here for the money.

I think some of you are forgetting the ramifications of what would have happened if we gave in to his demands.
Tomorrow Jose Enrique would knock on the door and ask for £100k p/w, so we'd have to give it to him.
The next day Cheik Tiote might feel like a bit of a pay-rise, so in he comes asking for £100k p/w too.
The club is bigger than the player, Carroll seemed to forget that and it backfired big time.
-
For me, it's going to hurt much more when Jose Enrique leaves, because I've grown far more attached to him than I ever did with Carroll.
Good job he's not leaving then!
I did say 'when' for a reason.
Would be very surprised if he didn't leave in the summer.

If Marriner admits it was a mistake (not likely at all), then the red card will get rescinded.
If he doesn't admit it was a mistake (much more likely/nailed on), then we still have the right to appeal and a panel will decide whether or not we have a case.
-
Not a chance that the card will get rescinded.
-
Did they change it did they? It used to be the end of February or March.
-
It's still 5 yellow cards, but he's not on the FA's suspensions list so I don't know what is going on.
Although I remember the commentating mentioning it was only his fourth on Sunday, which is quite bizarre because nufc.com has him down as having 5.

Pardews tactics and substitutions were fine, and anyone saying any different has a stupid vendetta and isn't willing to give him a chance.
We're 1-0 up, with 20 minutes to go. Trying to shut down the space in the midfield by bringing on a winger for our second striker who is lacking match fitness is perfectly acceptable.
Best on for Shola - Ameobi was looking tired and FWIW Best did his job. He chased and chased and put pressure on Wigan bringing it out of defence.
Nolan was knackered too, good to get some fresh legs on and a player who is willing to get stuck in. We'd all wish it wasn't Alan Smith but unfortunately he's what we have at the moment.

Walk on, Roy

Precisely why it was a s*** time for Pardew to get appointed.
Two ridiculously hard games, where the result would have been no different - and apparently it's his fault.
f***ing idiots.
didn't see many people blaming him for the city defeat...... but today he made a s*** and crucial decision to jonas off. We needed someone to stretch them......... that wasn't going to happen with tiote and smith on the field.
Because Jonas was so effective in the first 65 minutes.... Honestly forgot he was playing.
People can question his starting XI, but it's hard with 2 games in 3 days.
If we dont get results against Wigan and West Ham then it's time to start worrying, but losing to a top 4 side away from home thanks to 2 pretty decent goals is nothing to be worried about.
Jonas wasnt playing v 10 men & he had perch behind him who isnt much use. He's a pacey player whos good with the ball at his feet, thats perfect against 10 men. Even if he doesnt create directly he could have pulled their defence about a little. You want to push them back and hope that some loose balls fall to the right areas, anything to keep up pressure going fowards.
Anyone whod prefer keeping Alan smith on to Jonas against 10 men is utterly clueless really.
Not much point running at players when your delivery is shite, really.
Jonas is honestly the most over-rated player I've ever seen.

We lost to Man City and Tottenham shocker.
Who would've though eh? I personally expected to win both 5-0.
-
Aye, I forgot. Perch never started under Hughton.
Not once Simpson was back, no.
He would've done exactly teh same if Enrique was injured. Don't pretend otherwise.

We've played quite well but it's always going to be hard when you concede 2 really soft goals against one of the best defences in the league.
-
Only 4 points above a relgation spot.
So those saying 'we're fucking 11th' probably need to be realistic.
4 points off sixth as well.
But with the way we're playing and our upcoming fixture list I know which one is looking more likely...

Can't believe this shower of shit has got 2 goals against us. Unreal.
Because they're better than we are.
Which shows how much of a shower of shit we really are.
-
One of those days where everything went against us.
We've had games this season (Sunderland, Villa) where everythign went for us too, so you have to take teh good with the bad.
Not panic buttons just yet - there's going to be weeks when we're terrible but lets just hope that we bounce back sooner rather than later. Puts a lot of pressure on the Brom away game.
-
I purely biased when it comes to refs, if they've performed poorly in our games I'm going to throw them in the incompetent pile.
Why isn't Howard Webb in there ? He's up at the top for me after disallowing Viduka's goal that would have saved us from relegation. But I've never seen a ref get so much wrong and look totally biased as Atkinson did at Man Shitty.
Forgetting about Steven Taylor's dive to win the penalty and salvage a point against the Mackems?
It goes both ways.

Think there's been a slight over-reaction in this thread, but what Nolan did was very unprofessional and there was no need for it.
Why the fuck is he even doing interviews for them anyway? Just politely decline the opportunity to do an interview for them and get on with doing your job.
