  1. Don't really know what to say, but know that this, quite probably will be my last post as a Premiership fan.  Going down tomorrow and strangely very excited, but of course terrifed too.  I really hope it's an amazing atmosphere, regardless of outcome.  Let's show them, and make the players realise how big this really is.  HOWAY THE LADS

The 'last post as a premiership fan' is going a bit far.

Even if the worst happens tomorrow, I don't think it's the last time we'll ever be in the premiership.

  2. I had a dream that we scored early, Villa equalised and we went in 1-1 at HT.

Man Utd B are beating Hull 1-0.

We come out all guns blazing in the second half, take a commanding 3-1 lead after 80 minutes, Villa scored their second after 85 and then equalise in the 93rd.

Word gets to the KC, SAF tells the 4th official to play an additional 6 minutes, orders one of his rookie defenders to make a massive mistake and then Hull equalise.

  3. MANCHESTER UNITED were last night sensationally warned: Play a weakened side against Hull and we’ll sue you.

Relegation-haunted Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Sunderland fear Alex Ferguson will rest his stars against Hull on Sunday ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League final against Barcelona.

If Hull win they will stay up — and send two of the three North East clubs down, costing them £30million apiece in lost revenue.

Paragraph E20 of Premier League rules states: “In every league match each participating club should field a full strength team.”

No club has ever been cited for breaching the rule. But officials from Newcastle, Boro and Sunderland have discussed taking action if United send out a shadow side in the final game of the season.

A source close to the talks told SunSport: “United have every right to think of themselves but that shouldn’t be to the detriment of others.

“If they field a reserve team at Hull who then win and stay up, then the consequences for two of the three North East clubs will be dire.

“No one is looking for a favour, just a level playing field. And if the rules are not adhered to there are means of recourse.”

If found guilty of breaching rules, United could face anything from a warning to a big fine.

They would also be open to legal action from any relegated club for compensation.

A Premier League spokesman said: “We are aware of this situation and we will be monitoring all matches on the final day of the season.”

So in other words, a slap on the wrist and a 'you naughty boy Mr. Ferguson'.

  4. The thing is, bad refereeing decisions cost us more than other teams because we're only capable of creating one or two clear cut chances a match.

If that decisions goes against Man Utd (hahahahaha) or another team that's in the top four, it's not really going to matter because they'll create another 10 or so opportunities and go on to score 2/3 goals anyway.

Has it been mentioned anywhere about their goal being offside though? Thought it immediately after it went in but no replay was shown (not the first ball to Nevland, but the second ball from Nevland to Kamara)

  5. Also, are you telling me now that every single club will change their set-piece tactics and have nobody in and around the goalkeeper? Not a chance.

That's not what I said at all.

But it was bound to be highlighted following our match against Boro.

Also, why was no-one complaining about Howard Webb when he gave us that really dodgy penalty against Sunderland at home?

2wrongs have never made a right..

    No, they didn't.

But its swings and roundabouts, we didn't deserve anything from teh Sunderland game until Taylor went for the big dive and conned Webb into giving a penalty. So take the point off us there and award us the point against Fulham eh? That'll help.

By they way, I'm not saying we've had more for us than against us this season, because we haven't, but poor refereeing decisions are not the reason we're going down.

  7. Having read the thread, I can't believe anyone thinks Viduka's goal should have been ruled out. Nolan can stand where the f*** he likes, if the paedophile in the green can't get to the ball, that's his problem.

This is it. So, he was standing in front of the keeper. And..?

He had be warned about it, and he had his arm out.

Look at Nolan's reaction when the whistle goes, he knows exactly what it's for.

Chris Kamara has just went through it with a fine tooth comb and he, Liam Lawrence & James Beattie all thought there was nothing wrong, and it was in fact Schwarzer conning the ref.

It was a very dubious/soft decision, but Webb clearly went over there to have a word with Nolan before the corner was taken. What do you think about?

It's obvious it was the only thing he was going to be watching, and Nolan really didn't need to be anywhere near Schwarzer, because he wouldn't have got there.

Those decisions have been going against us all season though, and after getting some good ones against Boro it wasn't going to continue. It's not the reason we're going down.

  9. Howard Webb sent us down today.

    No he didn't.

We're going down because we're not good enough.

Can't blame us going down on one refereeing decision.
