Vic, I've been told not to react to what you say, so I won't directly. Just from what I've been reading so far, you've come across as being very pessimistic. Now, I understand that we've been unsuccessful for good on 40 years, and that is as good a reason as any to be pessimistic, but what do you actually think its achieving? I'll tell ya - Nothing.

I'm very happy. To be honest I've always thought that Luque has been treated harshly, hasn't really been given a huge opportunity to succeed. By not having a honeymoon to stay and train shows he is committed, and interested in playing, something that he hasn't looked like at least in the last year.

Don't rate him to be honest. Even for as little as 2m. Think we could do much better personally.

I don't know an awful lot about him, he sounds German? From what I've read, he sounds like a hard at it, combative midfielder, exactly like Parker is. So it seems that he could perhaps be a replacement for Parker, and for free there can be no complaints really.

Hey guys. I'm new around here, been a lifelong Toon fan. Great news that Owen wants to stay, hopefully we can persuade Oba to as well, if Oba stays that will be one quality strike force. Owen, Martins, Viduka - Would be hard pressed to find a better 3 in the league. Ameobi and Carroll will also provide decent back-up.
