One of the best parts of this video is the end because of the big tifo display of the city skyline with the sunshine motif behind it and the large cascadian flag made up by holding those pieces of paper. It's really amazing that the Front Office of the Portland Timbers works so closely with the Timbers Army (their main supporters group) and lets them run wild with this kind of stuff. To let the supporters in early to set that kind of stuff up is a really excellent move by the team and will only benefit the team itself but more importantly the league as well. It will show all other franchises how to run one properly.

Was a good match. The crowd was amazing as well - as advertised - they did not disappoint.

Not that I think it's the kit, but as with all crappy kit designs we see, they always look better on the players/being worn in a match.

First home match for the Portland Timbers tonight. Should be quite a sight.

Would love Defoe here to be honest. He's never afraid to take a shot really which is a nice quality to have in a striker.

Disappointing but not unexpected.

For anyone wanting to come down to Orlando for this, I'd recommend checking places like hotels.com, kayak.com, etc.. Staying in Orlando is very cheap compared to a lot of other cities. If you need a heads up on any info on where to stay just PM me and I can give you a better idea of Orlando geographically/logistically.

It would realistically take 1.5-2hrs to drive from Zephyrhills to the stadium.

I'm going to start planning a big pre-game piss-up at my favorite pub downtown, I'll let everyone know the details when I get more.

Go for it. Where is that from? Also just realized the game against Orlando is in the Citrus Bowl. That is gonna be one damn empty stadium...... Of course we'll fill the 70k seat stadium.

Garber wants 24 teams total last I heard. That's what we have now (18), plus Montreal next season, and then a few more. Another NYC franchise is very likely (Cosmos) and then they will be looking into other markets and see what comes around. As far as I know, they plan to stop after Montreal though for at least a few seasons to let the talent pool catch up with the expansion of the league.

I'm still probably going to Kansas City unless something else comes up.

Now to find where they are training. Hopefully it's at the University of Central Florida, which happens to be next to my house, but there's a possibility that it would be Rollins College, which is next to my work. Very excited.
