Such a likeable kid to have around the club. Doesn't hurt that he seems to be able to produce with the ball at his feet. I'm excited about watching his (hopeful) progress this season.

From someone who looks at it from the outside, I'd reckon it's mostly due to money. Of course there is an element of how crappy Ashley has been, especially when it comes to that moment where you have to decide if you want to spend the money, but the base of the problem is that the economy is pretty crap everywhere in the world right now and it's hard to justify spending money on a season ticket to your favorite team.

Does a better goals per minute ratio mean the player with the best stat's is the better player? In the case of Carroll vs Best (over this season)? Yes.

Can't change the side that started today to be honest. They have earned their place in the starting 11 next week. I think this will be a reoccurring theme over the season. If you show up and play, you keep your starting position, period.

Watching his interview makes me really excited to see him in the team for some reason. Seems a down to earth dude and that he knows he wasn't match sharp until now and that it's going to just keep going from here. Color me stoked.
