Think Liverpool is rated too highly by the bookies this weekend. -

Cheers for that Decent odds. -
I'm assuming he does (at a basic level anyway) from his time at AC Milan.

More like "Shola sums up the big 30" after he gets subbed off after 30 minutes.
-
From .com. He actually only played 70 odd minutes in the first game still class that he's come through another match ok. If the likes of Santon and Ben Arfa don't start on Sunday, I fully expect to see them play against Wigan. what happens if we end up beating Spurs 3-0 with the best performance of the season?? Would you change the team to accomadate those two? Yes.

Decent squad player, with great passing skills. And he keeps Smith a few steps further off the bench.

Yes. But he's obviously fit to play nevertheless.

This HBA crap is getting ridiculous. He most definitely deserves to walk into the side, he's one of the most talented footballers we've had for years. So fucking what if he has been out a year, he was injured and now he's INJURY FREE. He's even played matches. What more do you want? Do you seriously (from a footballing perspective) want to bench him for Best? At least a loss on Sunday will see Santon, Ben Arfa and Marveaux starting the game after that.

Yep. It would change my view on him if he actually chooses to play Løvenkrands or Shola from start. Same goes for Raylor ahead of Santon. I like Pardew, but this is seriously pissing me off, and it's extremely unnecessary. What's seriously pissing you off? Really it's only the Wolves game that Santon and Ben Arfa could have started. Against that lot, who have a habit of just kicking the talent out of sides, it was entirely right to start neither of them, considering neither were 100%. Pardew's subs were poor on the day but his starting line up was spot on. It's only this game on Sunday where there's a good argument to start Ben Arfa. Santon has a case, but I dont think it's a case of getting the pitch forks out if Ryan Taylor starts again and holding Santon back for the Wigan & Blackburn cup game. Well I disagree. I say start your best team before s*** comes around and f***s you up. And we all know very well that Pardew adores Shola and Løvenkrands, with reasons no one knows. -

Not a brilliant penalty taker? He's one of the best around imo. That doesn't sound correct. How's he not a brillant penalty taker? He's never missed one in a competitive game. The one against the mackems was the perfect pen. I meant the "he's one of the best around" part. I just think it's a shit excuse to his overall play, which is embarrassing at best.

Think your right unfortunately. Pardew deserves alot of credit for us being in the position we are in right now. But there are certainly improvements we can make. We need Santon in asap (to deal with Bale ideally). Also both Ben Arfa and Marveaux look to have alot of creativity and goals in them and look far better players than Obertan who looks so far to be decent cover, could improve and may be a good pacey sub to bring on. How ridiculous is it that we actually will start that second team? I mean, we're in a fantastic position in the league, and we have the opportunity to play Ben Arfa, Santon and Marveaux, and the chance of beating Tottenham, which would send a huge message to the rest of the league. But instead we're gonna play fucking Løvenkrands, and worst case scenario Shola Ameobi. To top that Ryan Taylor will play at the expense of Santon, and Marveaux will look good on the bench once again. It's quite sad really. -
I blame Shola.
-
He's not an excellent penalty taker, he's just less shit at it. Imagine if he missed a pen in the Spurs game. His very last straw.
-
Fuck sake. I'd actually rather play Løvenkrands. Wow, that's quite crazy. We had a chance of drawing in this one. Well we had a good run.
