  1. No he doesn't. That's my biggest problem with him. You really think Shola doesn't give 2 smacks what he does in the shirt? Hes limited by his own size and is clearly playing with too much muscle that his body/bones have not been able to cope with, which is affecting his play (imo). Questioning his effort on the pitch is a bit naive. I'm in no way saying he should be starting or getting a game off the bench, but I think slagging him in this manner is over-the-top. It looks to me that he really doesn't give a damn. I can live with him being s*** in general, because he have been his entire career, but when he - as mind blowing as it is - starts games for Newcastle in 2011, I at least expect him to honor his undeserved time on the pitch by giving his best performance. The last few games have been an absolute joke. Work your ass off and play s***, then fine, but when you are just going to stroll around with your head up your ass looking like you're having the worst time of your life, GTFO! And take Ryan Taylor with you. learning how to stay onside would be a decent improvement. Yep, it would be a day to remember.

  3. No he doesn't. That's my biggest problem with him. no idea how anyone can say with a straight face that he does Time after time, and yet people are defending him.

  6. I worked out that we had an entire first XI and bench the other week that cost 500k less than Carroll.

  10. The "Marveaux isn't 100 % fit" doesn't work anymore. I'm not having that. He should definitely start against these cunts. Ben Arfa I can understand, but I still think he should play at least 45 minutes, massive impact sub in the 2nd half is in the cards. Also feel Sammy should get more minutes than he has gotten in previous games. A win here would be amazing, players should be well rested.
  11. Sorry but imo Simpson a poor footballer , and one of the most overrated to hold onto shirt for periods since Boumsong He is not the perfect RB, but in no way is he worse than Ryan Taylor. Simpson is a steady performer, and while he isn't extraordinary he does the job.
  12. Simpson is a natural right back. Jonas is a winger. Personally I rate Simpson over Raylor, but with Santon out, they're both bound to start. I can see Jonas as a wing back in a Napoli-style formation, but not as a dependent part of a 4 man defense.
  13. I would like to See Jonas and Obertan fight for the right position, However it must be done with a more balance approach. It really must depend on who is the fullback that is protecting the wings. For example if Ryan stuck in the left back position , Jonas should automatically start , due to his ability to track back and protect ever so often. But if we put Jonas on the right with Simmo at the back , we might loose a bit of fire power.... Simmo is a right back that rarely over laps and and attack. Maybe once or twice a game, therefore i believe Obertan is a better combination as he is a more direct attacking player. I have my doubts on jonas crossing and counter attacking abilities as he never gets his head up before he crosses or pick a pass, therefore his track record is obvious to everyone as long his habit doesnt change. Having his head down is probably also the reason why he often could dribble well and release pressure on team. Tbh i watched Marvx since he broke into the scene, he is a very intelligent player while attacking but provides very little protection as he wanders into dangerous advance positions. Santon is not a player i followed alot but from his videos , he looked a very attacking fullback that usually runs up the pitch nearly in every game. Therefore the contradiction...... with the pair of Marvx and Santon....unless they forgo a part of their natural game and be more discipline. Jonas and Santon is probably a more well balance team, as Santon is more attacking than Jose. They could cover one another and attack comfortably as well. That all being said, i believe they all could fit in the team....my preference would be: Striker Ben Afra Marxv Tiote Cabaye Obertan Santon Collo Taylor/Will Jonas Jonas is probably our most adaptable player in terms of his abilities ( Argentina) , i am very confident with his defensive abilities. The pair of Marvx and Santon will need help from the midfield and Collo to cover them when they go on the rampage... To summarize: Jonas = Attacking 6 defense 8 Marvx = Attacking 8.5 defense 5 Obertan = Attacking 6.5(?) Defensive (6) Santon = Attacking 8 Defensive 6(?) (Epl is different so lets see how he adapts ) Simmo = Attacking 5 Defensive 6.5 Obviously Simmo is the weak link in my opinion, if jonas could tweet his game.....and play full back positions( which i rate him half as one...) We could be sitting on a team of very talented ball possession players. It also allows us with very flexible substitutions. Hope Pardew Catches on. http://i.imgur.com/6YwWm.jpg What's the problem? Jonas has a 8 in defence rating Wait Actually http://www.memeface.com/pic/meme601637433_m.jpg It's not ok! http://s3.amazonaws.com/kym-assets/entries/icons/square/000/005/627/untitled.JPG?1303251517

  16. Yep, it's very simple. Same goes for Shola, Perch, Smith and Ranger.
  17. Yes, and vastly unproven, it seems.
  18. Christ. How many deluded posts are there in that thread?
  19. Simple solution, play him on the right, or if he doesn't know how to run down the right side off the pitch, play Marveaux there. Either way, Marveaux HAS to play. You can so easily see his superior smartness compared to Jonas. He knows what to do when receiving the ball. Knows to pick out a pass, and knows how and when to cross the ball. Yes, Jonas runs a lot, he runs fucking all the time. But he just runs down the left, or through the middle with no idea what comes next. Time after time. It's so frustrating. Thing is though, with all his faults, he is obviously still a better player than Obertan. Somebody has to take the RW spot, just to keep the professor out of the starting XI. Wait a minute... ...luxury problems?
