  1. Predict 0-0 or 0-1. Would rather have 0-0 than 2-2, just to keep the defensive tally solid. And I think 4-5-1 is the way to go in this away fixture. -----------------Krul Simpson - Colo - S. Taylor - R. Taylor -----------------Tiote ---------Cabaye - Marveaux Obertan----------------------------Jonas ------------------Ba Subs: Elliot, Willamson (?), Santon, Best, Sa. Ameobi, HBA, Guthrie. HBA on the bench because I don't think Pardew will start him. Same with Santon of course. That XI is plausible though (depending on the formation).
  2. Saw that. This post in particular made me chuckle. "Gardner, Vaughan, Colback and Cattermole are all better than Cabaye and Tiote." Good one... This has to be a p*ss take. No one in they're right mind can seriously mean this. It's like saying Fletcher and Carrick are better then Xavi and Iniesta.
  3. We were supposedly quoted £13m in August. I know, but we were far too late. And I suspect Pardew to "protect" our strikers (by not buying one in January) if they keep up what they have started. Best and Ba are alright, but a class forward is what we need to complete this team. And obviously at least one more fullback.
  4. Well Papiss Cissé has started this season with 6 goals in 7. While I admittedly have not seen him play, he's obviously a proven goalscorer. If we continue our current form with not too many shabby defeats, and bring this powerhouse in @ January, this could get quite sexy towards the end of the season.
  5. Wow, He's probably taking Cristiano with him as well.

  7. Imagine if we could grind out results until the Manchester games (where shit obviously is gonna go down). Stoke is my only big worry before those games. We should get something from Tottenham at home, and between those we should destroy Wigan quite heavily.

  9. My god. The whole fucking first page with shit from the game. They're like: Clean and stylish forum with less than 50 threads on one game?
  10. That works two ways though, I could count on one hand how many posters on here have gave Sunderland credit for signing very good players like O'Shea and Brown, I'm not bothered what anyone says those two are very decent footballers and all you get on here is people mocking them, refusing to admit that they are decent. At last, something to add to a discussion. I think people on here generally accept that they are decent players, but the problem is that they aren't getting any younger, and if im not mistaken they are on long contracts with massive wages. We went down that route for about 4 or 5 years and it ended with relegation. Not saying you'll get relegated but I think it's fair to question your transfer policy based on the signings of those two. Last season our squad was the youngest in the PL and it showed in certain games and towards the end of the season when we fell apart and I'd say 90% of fans realised we needed a few experienced heads and not just kids. Yes, they are on big wages but if the start that Brown has made is anything to go by then it will be money well spent, he wasn't injured at all last season, he just couldn't get in the Man Utd team. O'Shea has only started 2 games but we have kept 2 clean sheets in 2 games in the games he has played so again a good signing, only 30, got years ahead of him yet and defenders regularly play in the top flight well into their 30's. Cool Story bro. And congratulations, you've got 5 points!
  11. So we haven't played any decent teams yet? 3 "difficult" away matches and Arsenal. I guess Fulham and Blackburn are shit, but until recently we struggled at home vs them. I guess we'll know by the end of November where we are though, some real tough ones coming up.
  12. So good to see Tiote is picking it up. Absolutely ran the show. Our central midfield looks fucking class, and the team in general is looking like a unit. My only concern atm is the fullbacks, but I guess you can't complain. Can't wait for Santon though.
  13. How is it pathetic to criticize his performances so far this season, and more or less his whole career footballing wise, especially in terms of giving a damn?
  14. It's mainly the laziness that pisses people off.
  15. Wow. Well there you have it.
  16. Of course it is. Seems like people are ignoring the fact he used to play as a right winger.
