  1. There’s this strange narrative that PSR has led to a more competitive premier league landscape (partly or wholly because cartel clubs like Man Utd and spurs have fucked it last season). Unfortunately them fucking up has led to more support for the PSR rules; seems like even when they absolutely fail they’re still reaping the rewards somewhat. Infuriating.
  2. He’s a soon to be Premier League Keeper though?
  3. I get you but we’re like a week in. You want wait at least a little bit to see if better offers are forthcoming.
  4. “Getting business done quickly” and not wanting to pay big fees don’t exactly go hand in hand unfortunately. There’s no incentive for the selling side to agree a low fee so early on in the summer. They’ll want to smoke out other bids. It’s why stingy teams like Tottenham tend to do their business so late in the window.
  5. This guy will be a future England number 1. Great shot-stopping and very good distribution; not as good as Pope with regards to handling crosses but I’d argue Nick’s the best keeper in the prem at holding onto a ball under pressure. Good signing at a fair price imo.
  6. Can see a Ramsay deal happening. Why 29m specifically though?

It’d be a nice problem to have, in any case. Too often we weren’t able to change the game from subs or even before that, surprise teams enough with personnel changes in the first xi.
  8. “We struggle to score against low block teams”. Low blocks are supposed to be tough to attack against, that’s like the whole point.
  9. Madueke? If so, that’s what I’m talking about.

Niko Williams is on like 250k a week or something daft.
  11. You need to be coachable and have the right mentality to be Howed. Everything I’ve seen from Noni suggests he isn’t and doesn’t.
  12. Madueke is a YouTube compilation player with no work-rate, consistency or reliable end-product. When he’s on though he looks really good. His issue is, and I could be wrong here, is he also comes across as someone who thinks he’s already made it; players with his kind of attitude/mentality don’t tend to get much better.

If we sign him for 60m, he won’t be a back-up.
  14. He’s not great; especially for what Howe would demand in a right-winger imo.
  15. Are people trolling when they say they’d have Madueke for 50m over Elanga for the same money? I’d completely understand if they thought we could get him on the cheap (as he’s got a lot Howe can work with) but the guy is one of the most frustrating wingers in the league; still plays like a raw, selfish teenager. Bit of a knob too by all accounts. For the same money you go Elanga every time, surely.
  16. I agree that we need another cm, I just don’t think we’ll spend a giant chunk of our budget on a blue-chip one.
  17. There’s no way we’re spending 40m plus on a cm this window, unfortunately. I’d love Ederson here though.

JP, Elanga and Guehi would be a wild summer. Assuming Willock goes though to finance it, which is fine.

Not trying to be a dick or snappy btw . Genuinely just asking

60-70m for Pedro is a better deal than 50m for Elanga for you?
  21. Quite a few forest fans would rather lose MGW than Elanga for the same money.
  22. Can see the argument for Akliouche but Lee Kang-in is bobbins, man.
  23. He’s not as fast for sure and quite lightweight. Good player though, and I’d be happy with him for sure. I just don’t see how 50m for Akliouche is a great deal while the same money for a more effective player is being laughed at.
  24. I said I like him. Could say the same about yourself and Elanga though.
  25. It’s an opinion as they’re different types of player but Akliouche is a lot less physical and more “safe” in his play. Elanga’s certainly the more effective player.
