Unfortunately (with all due respect to them) the smaller clubs can’t really afford anything resembling a quality English player nowadays. We get lambasted for “overpaying” for British players but it’s been a cornerstone of our success. I do hope we mix it up more with players from the French league though. Seem to always find success when they come to PL.

Yeah, agree with that. Was genuinely world class at the back end of last season.

With the relative lack quality of the lower half of the league, the teams who play aggressively and finish their chances will be in and amongst the CL places. We can definitely be one of those teams. The key thing this year though is to win your head-to-heads against your rivals for that spot (and there’s quite a few this season).
