Anyone who knows me (or probably a lot that don't too) will know that nowadays I'm very critical of The Trust, especially after my time on the board for that massive stint of like 3months But I have to say like, I kna Greg was the Chair and as such, that would inevitably make him the target of most criticism, but there has to be some balance shown or considered. I won't pretend I liked everyone, got along with, or respected everyone on the board, I didn't before, I didn't during and I still don't after with some. However, the one thing people need to be wary of is the amount of effort that often goes into this kind of thing behind the scenes that people don't see. Therefore, some leeway should be given before accusations are made. Don't get me wrong, I know they're speculative or conversational at best, but like at least try and show Gregs efforts some respect. What the trust has achieved in this instance is somewhat remarkable in my opinion and should be respected. It is ultimately a fantastic gesture. I never put into it because I was sceptical of some individuals and their motives, but I have to doff my cap to even those for helping fans facilitate this motion and subsequent charitable donation. With regards to the Trust more specifically, I don't really see how they could be governed by the FCA (I believe) and be swindling money out, etc. As Greg says, there are a few things (at least) the Trust could do to improve, both financially and in their communication, I have no doubt about that. However, I have no doubt that a lot of the communication provided via emails simply lands in peoples junk email. I know it does mine (sorry Greg). The issue is that most don't want to be communicated in a formal, written manner. They want to have chat with real people expressing real feelings, and now the Trust is in a situation where it is likely to have increased involvement from certain sectors of the fanbase, and they wiill, in turn vote their own as chair and it'll lead to further mistrust from opposing quarters, and that, combined with Saudi ownership will see members dwindle and the Trust fizzle away in my humble opinion. Said people won't want to get up in front of opposing quarters and answer the difficult questions and so it becomes a chicken and egg scenario. I get why they probably wouldn't like it, but sadly, the trust won't turn the corner without changing its ways for me. It's a shame, because people like Greg and Thomas are what the Trust should be about but I feel there isn't enough of those types involved and instead, they'll get fed up and pull out. A real shame tbh.

Nar na, third batch coming out in the next fortnight or so I believe. The original 6 bars have probably sold out then the next 4 or so will likely still have it. -
We'll go out in the last 16 and Southgate will be sacked. Ruthless business is international football. Hero to zero. For me, at least he made us likeable again.

Problem with the corner is that it almost becomes divisive in that, those near or in the corner get sick of churning out the same songs in the hope the rest of the ground join in, so then revert to any old song they know - which half the ground don't, so don't join in and then it becomes difficult to generate an atmosphere like in the Bournemouth game when the team need it. I get irritated by singing Eddie Howe's Black and White Army but it's one of our few songs that fans know to really instill a drum beat and gather momentum. Likewise I get frustrated at people singing some sort of random song like Peter Lovenkrandz in them moments, mean absolutely fuck all and counter intuitive. We really need singing sections behind the goal, or even behind the Gallowgate goal at least to start. -

I like to think of it all as a pendulem swing. As soon as it swings too far either side you'll achieve an almost equal and opposite reaction. So the less you swing it then the more likely you are to find an equalibrium and a state of relative peace. Right now shits getting polarised and social media and the actual media don't help. -

It's our pleasure. It couldn't be done without fan donations and without those in the stadium playing their part too -

It definitely worked There are other things we have considered too. Such as the Brentford display and the gap for the Rugby World Cup game etc. It made practical and moral sense. Besides, we're havinga stock check/reorganise. -

Loads of twitter comments "fan funded - should have went to vote". Then we'd be like the Trust and get shit done every 9 months not 9 days. I kna we're not above criticism but fuck me. -

I'm not disputing the state the country is in. I'm disputing that some will simply tell their favourite parts of history simply to make a stance rather than accepting good AND bad. That's the same on both sides. -

Okay, so now you've all had you're say, and everyone on social media is having their say, and all will continue to have their say until after the game finishes tomorrow on what we did or didn't do, I'll have my say. I was being a WUM and deliberately did so because it was evident on here how the majority lean. The reaction was by and large as I expected so my plan worked This week and recent weeks with costs of living escalating and more people being put into poverty etc. Has seen some of the most difficult discussions regarding displays that the group has ever had. We have come through some passionate discussion and reached a democratic decision that will no doubt leave some pleased and some disappointed. Nonetheless, I want to make people aware - tonight approximately 100 working hours to achieve 'sitting on the fence' so I won't have it called 'pathetic' simple as that. Be fucked off if you wish, hell, I wanted a display for HRH, my Queen, a highly financially priveleged servant to our people, but don't stretch it to needless comments like that. I'm not saying the above for plaudits despite how people may see that. I'm saying it for justification. If our group cannot have a strong majority in favour of a display it doesn't happen, it is somewhat democratic and it somewhat works. Every individual can make their own commemoration tomorrow or can simply be respectful to those around them who wish to do just that. Despite it being fun to read, I think some of the comments and speculation has been a bit laughable on here this afternoon. Proper toys out the pram stuff. It fucks me off tbh in wider society. The 'liberal' left who don't accept any views other than those who share that same view. Bizarre. Then you have the right and far right... Fuck me. I think I'll stick to debating who are best all time 11 is. -

It may seem that way but there's always plenty to be proud of being British. People are selective in their story telling that's all. It's harder to be proud of being British nowadays though, for fear of some outlandish lefty criticism. Just my opinion as a patriotic centre lefty. -

We absolutely have and there's been a lot of heated discussion in the group this week. From a purely selfish, group perspective I cannot wait for next weeks fixture so this weeks is put to bed with the display debate too. I don't think people realise the effort it's taken to simply 'sit on the fence for this one"... -
