    St James' Park

Well said
  3. I'd beg to differ, aside from fans who dislike us as a club a lot of other clubs will be bothered about this. We're the ones setting a precedent for the commercialization of English football clubs and many alike wont want to follow suit.

They call it St James'; It's the best in the land. With the Gallowgate End, and the two massive stands. It has been forever, and so it'll remain, the best football ground in the game! Tune: We are the Geordies, The Cock of the North.

Players come and go, I've been going to St James' for the last 40 odd years and expected to be going for the rest of my life. For me - i think we should just be pro-St James' Park as opposed to anti-Ashley. It puts a positive spin on a negative situation and still gets our point across. They call it St James'; It's the best in the land. With the Gallowgate End, and the two massive stands. It has been forever, and so it'll remain, the best football ground in the game!
  7. We're not powerless, we're just s*** at getting our act together. And we all don't hold the same views to the same extent. Essentially we are though, it wont be long before anti-Ashley songs aren't allowed to be sang for fear of being chucked out and losing your ticket. You can't protest effectively because the only way people actually sit up and listen is if you do something of a criminal nature. We can't do anything for fear of generating a negative atmosphere and the team slipping down the division. Our fans, based on this forum need to seriously question about what they love about the game and Newcastle United. Because I'm 99% certain it's not purely and solely about winning games and being a good side.
  8. I'd happily sign an e-petition, regardless of how far it got us. Sick of the idea that we're powerless as normal, every day, hard-working human beings.

Playing for your home town club who you've supported and been at for years or risk losing your lifetime ambition through one or two comments. Simple choice for me like. People can fuck off suggesting that our local lads don't care about this.
  10. Obviously, he was the deluded Geordie I mentioned previously.

What I fail to understand is how this even has any credibility from our point of view. A few points to consider; - We've been lied to about numerous issues in the past - We were relegated and sold a lot of our "High-earners" - We continued to have high attendances throughout said relegation season and were IIRC the most televised Division 2 team like....ever. - We're the biggest attraction in France currently, as recently proven - Sports Direct is already plastered all around our home, how much revenue did this bring in? - Will companies really want to do this, to the detriment of their companies reputation? - We would have received a parachute payment on our return to Division 1 - High attendances remain - Probably the most season ticket holders in the UK outside of Arsenal and Man United - Top earners were sold in the summer - Andy Carroll and Jose Enrique were sold, two of our prize assets What the f*** - like how can we possibly be doing s**** financially? It doesn't f***ing add up. Short of European football, we've done every possible thing to boost revenue. Why didn't the fat c*** leave things be when everyone was slowly coming round to him? He's f***ed everything up with this. I'm very quickly losing my faith with top flight football, but that will never outweigh the love of my club. Black and White, Red and Blue I couldn't give a f***, this club is NEWCASTLE UNITED to me, it is my home town club and it plays at ST JAMES' PARK. The fans are just about the only thing left to carry this f***ing heritage so to me to f*** off and leave it all behind would leave us partially accountable for the death of not just OUR CLUB but English and world football. It's not just f***ing football either, it really isn't - money and the powers that be are constantly forcing us, either subliminally or physically into just being apathetic and just thinking we have to accept change. Commercial changes with financial benefits to no-one but the bourgeoisie. I'm sick of this feeling that we should just take the s*** and be f***ing robots of society. How ironic that in a time where we remember those who fought and died for us to have democracy that really we're just victims of capitalisation as a result of the dictatorial c***s that run this nation. How many of us will actively do anything about this? Anything productive? I'd take a guess at less than 20% of our support. Everyone's frightened to upset the clubs performances on the and/or getting fucking knicked or their tickets removed. Right to protest, that's a load of wank as well. Football fans aren't football fans, they're hooligans or customers. FUCK OFF! Completely OTT rant over with.

Howay man, get a grip FFS. f*** off Otter you utter cretin. You have absolutely no idea about passion and love for NUFC. If you can't understand him saying he's hearbroken then you really need to f*** off from 'supporting' NUFC. Sorry lads...he's just wound me right up there. I understand Sifu's emotions here, but Otter has every bit idea about passion and love for NUFC. I've been going to the games with him for 17 years and he currently travels up from Manchester for every home game. I appreciate he's wound you up, but be careful with what you say mate.

    Alan Pardew

Pardew wont have been involved in this at all. At least I hope not. If he was I fear he may have underestimated what this club means to people...
  14. The Germans don't celebrate ones life, or even death you may argue. I've been to German World War cemetaries on the continent and their really eery. Each to their own though. Dozens of countries celebrate this, particularly the French, Americans and Canadians, and as far as I'm aware the Spanish too. It all depends on tradition and the individuals. They should be allowed to have it by choice not by force, similar to standing at football stadia. You should have the option to choose not being forced to do something because people at the top deem it to be wrong.

  16. Nevertheless, you would have talked a load of s****. There'd have been grains of gold in that s*** though Heza, that's my point. Sweetcorn does not equate to gold, you fucking vegetable.

Annoyed. There's people in our history more deserving of a stand than Sir Bobby. I'd beg to differ. Regardless though, this wont happen anyways.
