Not many people would chuck a bunch of kids into a relegation battle where one bad result could be a disaster. Shearer might be playing youngsters because he's got no choice but I get the impression both he and Dowie are very keen on pushing the development of the kids much quicker than previously. you can't win anything with kids can you?

I've read most of this thread this morning and I have to say it's one of the funniest things I've read in ages. With things the way they are at the club this is a bit of well needed light relief. Does anyone know if he's anywhere near the first time? Is he still scoring 4 goals minimum for the youth team?

Premier league experience is definately over-rated, take a look at Alan Smith! Give the guy time to develop and he could be really good for us!
