    Dennis Wise

And the nature of the buck this summer was a difficult one The lads he's brought in seem on first impressions to be just what we needed and have been delivered at a low cost - therefore well played Goggly Eyes. But I think most people would have liked to have seen a couple more bodies through the door - black mark Wisey. The player sales have all made sense imo, and only Milner would have been likely to see significant playing time this season. However, I do believe that players out of the door should always be down to the manager as he is the one who sees them day in and day out. The fact is, WE don't know what's been going on behind the scenes and what was said on Monday. Until things are cleared up and we have some quotes from the people themselves, we don't know who is to blame. As for the bits in bold above: You refer to the players on Wise's, I would have thought that they should have been Keegan's choices as in: KK: "Excuse me executive management team" "Yes, can we help?" KK: "Yes well, I think we're a bit short in x and x positions, would you be able to produce some ideas for me and actually I've already thought of x and x" "Yes, here's a list of players we've scouted for x and x + vids, reports, etc" KK: "Thanks very much, I'll have that one and that one. Will you sort it out for me?" "Yes, no problem Kevin, we'll let you know when they've signed." Was the way I saw it working, but evidently not. Who is responsible for this I'm sure we'll find out soon.
  2. Have been watching FOX Sports on TVU and they were saying how his "sarcastic little smile" was "out of order" while relating it to the FA respect campaign. These lot must have female genitalia as there are so many double standards it's unbelievable. Totally agree with your point Lovejoy, DON'T lock this thread. Love reporting, hate Newcastle.
  3. This. I removed my post ripping him. I posted it before I knew he handed in his request a week ago. Can't agree with that. what exactly has he got whinge to the papers about? As for performances, he gets paid doesn't he? Are we dropping our expectations so low to expect everyone to behave like the foreign mercenaries who pollute our game?
  4. He's a total arsehole. After Martins scored there was total silence. Martin Tyler kept saying "This wasn't in the script". Well f*** you and your script. I didn't realise we were supposed to just lie down and lose. I wish the option to listen to the match without having to hear the commentators was still available. Wonderfully demonstrated by that dick end Martin Tyler. Apparently Keegan only finds out about which players he's getting when Dennis Wise delivers them. f*** off Tyler. All their 'facts' are taken from the Daily s****. How thick are they that they assumed the Kevin Keegan Newcastle United would be just as s*** as the Sam Allardyce Newcastle United? I may be wrong, but I seem to recall that it was Gray who initially said that, then about 15 mins later Tyler brought it up again saying "I'm sure that Keegan has the final say", or words to that effect. Was wondering at the time whether someone from the club had complained about it during the broadcast and that was some sort of retraction.
  5. You need to have something to start you off with.
  6. Got level two and doing level3 (UEFA B) this year, also got to level 2 GK as well Level one is straight forward (basic football), as long as you've got the confidence to go and stand in front of a crowd of people and show them what to do. Level two is more complicated and brings in other skills. It shows you how to develop passages of play etc. To do this one you'll really need to be coaching a team and for some parts need to have access to a team of about 14 yrs +. Level 3 is a whole different ball game. I coach a team of u11's and it's excellent, really puts the over paid pricks we pay to watch in their place. In terms of coaching....you could get by with your L1, as long as you keep learning and trying to adjust the sessions. Try and make new exercises up as well. A good place to go is one (or more than one) club academy. As long as you try keep developing things and try to get the kids to make their own decisions instead of telling them what to do all of the time, then it's one of the best things you can do, really good stuff.
  7. Can't find this on the Mail on Sunday website, anyone?
  8. Why are people answering? It only encourages him.
  9. Good news, as long as we get someone experienced in alongside him.
  10. That's it, it's a done deal then. We just need Oliver to confirm it in the Chronic tonight.
  11. Shearer in his absolute prime wasn't fit to kiss the arse of most of the players above As a centre-forward he had the lot. Lets not confuse success with ability or let success and stage of performance detract from ability here whioch should always be the deciding factor in such debates, in my opinion anyway. Shearer was as good if not better than Batitistuta for example, and most certainly Eric Cantona who was good but world-class? All about opinions I suppose though... If you're talking pure, out and out centre forwards then Shearer will take some beating, worldwide. You talk some good stuff Coach HTT, but I can't believe someone said that about Cantona. I despised him, but he was one of the best players I've ever seen. A one off. Can't actually believe this person hasn't been mentioned http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/content/images/2006/04/25/peter_beardsley_gallery_460x340.jpg How many forwards would've been ordinary if he hadn't of been around?
  12. Because he takes cheating to new heights, unlike MOST of the others mentioned on here. Aye, Maradonna et al were absolute saints, to be fair to him he gets the s*** kicked out of him and has made a concious effort to cut down on it. No excuses though. I haven't seen one sign of any reduction in his cheating. He's still as bad as he was in Euro04, when he didn't get the 'best young player' accolade due to his cheating.

Would just like to add that Hagi is the best left footed player I've ever seen.

Hope that crest isn't the actual size of what's below. That's a shabby looking Merc for a PL manager
  16. aye, smashing. Never mind that the team is in the s**** though, Never mind that the transfer window is now closed so no money can be spent on the team and he did make money available in January but it was not spent. how much ? Why wasn't it spent ? Keep deluding yourself. If you think that it is OK that we can't force the hand of small clubs like Blackburn to sell us their best players, welcome to true mediocrity the likes of which you clearly don't understand. But soon will if this is the path they are choosing to follow. At the end of the day, I don't really give a toss how good a bloke runs the football club if we are struggling and they don't capitalise on the fanbase. Did we even try and get anyone from Blackburn? KK says there's money there and he chose not to spend it, I for one believe him. Do you not believe him? How much ? What a pathetic individual you are. Mike Ashley - top bloke
  17. well, you shouldn't have spouted deluded crap. What did the original post have to do with the football club? Yet again you've turned another thread into a bitching match. When I disagreed with you before, I had respect because you stood for what you believed, but this thread is about the bloke giving some money to charity, it had nothing to do with the club and you've made an arse of yourself on it.
  18. I didn't realise a football chairman plays such a part in the football team mackems.gif He must have had some blinders playing for the manager that was chosen by Hall Jnr, Shepherd and Fletcher http://amix.dk/uploads/big_fish.jpg Holes appearing all over the argument now, try not to bite too much A fact that Tron or certain others have - again - refrained from responding to, because they know it is correct I suspect Poor response

  20. My point exactly. Using that, he has absolutely no argument whatsoever.
  21. the good of the club ? Avoiding relegation ? Hoping they will match the best positions of the old board, as a minimum ? Take your pick How will blindly sticking up for the old board's shortcomings achieve those things?
  22. never mind about the relegation struggle, at least we didn't waste any money in the transfer window What, you mean on the likes of Luque etc? Wish we'd bought more like him, maybe the chairman could've bid for Rooney again? Was that aimed at me? If it was, where did I mention it? Please show me. You are jumping on the current board after allowing them very little time to achieve anything. Why not compare what happens after another 10-12 years? You may have an argument then. What about comparing the 1st year of both regimes? more than happy to do that, however if you are happy at them not recognising a serious situation, then you shouldn't be. You ARE aware the previous regime saved the club from bankruptcy, the 3rd division and a failed share issue aren't you ? Thats fact by the way, not something I've made up to "defend" them. But what was the point in achieving all that they did (whilst making a s*** load of money in the process), then leaving us in such a mess? what do you think they should do ? Not continue attempting to be successful ? Maybe not answering that would be better ........ No, if they're the people you're making them out to be (which most NUFC fans know they ARE NOT), then they would have admitted they had taken the club as they could and would have passed the club on to someone else, to take it to the next level. It amazes me that you can stick up for Shepherd and then call Mort's attitude and comments naive and foolish. Shepherd embarrassed us nearly every time he spoke in public. According to club ex-employees he also lied to them. Then you have the really bad stuff...... ...talking to some plastic scousers at some traffic lights about MO. ...soccerex in Dubai, a great example of alienating smaller clubs .....brothel in Spain. Can't see Mort doing that.
