  1. Just been sent this off a mate..

Chris Mort (Newcastle chairman) outside the ground spots an old lady struggling to cross the road with two large shopping bags, he calls out to her "can you manage lass",

she shouts back "fck off, i don't want the fcking job either".    :nope:

That joke was actually made for the England job (Barwick and McClaren).

Still as shit as it was originally.

  2. Do we want this :

    "Boring Football

During his reign Houllier based his team upon a strong defence. The steel of Hamann in midfield and the strong defence including the likes of Carragher, Babbel, Hypiaa and Henchoz meant that Liverpool were hard to break down. The flip side of this though was the painfully boring football Liverpool were playing. Liverpool are a club steeped in tradition of playing attractive football, Houllier's play was anything but. Dull, one-dimensional, long-ball football up to the £11million man Emile Heskey was the way his side played, much to the dismay of the Koppites." ?

Our defence has been our downfall for how many years?

  3. I think Houllier signed Fred as well didn't he?

Both Tiago and Fred are available at the moment ...

If we could get them both on loan, with Houllier and Alan coming in, that would be sweet.

f*** Fred, he's a joke and Tiago is simply a nomadic flop.

I'd want him to try and bring the likes of Benzema, Ben Arfa or Nasri to our club.

We need to move forward, not stay where we are.

  4. Why are we reported as only approaching mediocre mid table managers.  Why can't we approach the top of the table managers?  Are we too afriad of being knocked back? if you don't ask you don't get.  I accept any approach would be unlikely to succeed, but we do seem to be setting our sites too low.  I would go for Benitez as the bindippers seem to want rid, mainly because he wants dosh to build the side up, whilst the yanks are trying to flog the club.

  5. Shearer would make an excellent assistant in the dugout.

When we're losing and all the mongs are booing all Houllier has to do is send Shearer out to wave at them and they'll all start cheering then.

Shearer as Houllier assistant would be perfect

He should start his career as an assistant, and obiously, here would be the perfect place to start.

  6. Look at what he did at Liverpool, he was an excellent manager and brought bags of success to Lyon too.

He'd work well with N'Zogbia and Ngo Baheng and our other French speaking players like Beye, Faye and Geremi. He's also seen the true abilities of Beye, Rozehnal and Cacapa. He should know which of them are the best and who aren't good enough based on previous performances in Ligue 1 as well as the performances at our club.

    My first choice.

  7. Bent is essentially an upgrade of Defoe. He's is faster and more powerful, ultimately an athlete with brute force. If he can get the finishing ability that he had at Charlton back I'd have him ahead of Owen any day.

  8. Bramble as mascot?

No he'd probably f*** that up as well!

He has scored as many league goals as Michael Owen this season and the team he's been playing in have conceded less goals than us and have twice as many clean sheets.

Not such a laughing stock eh?

  9. Just add this one to his 07/08 portfolio.

I've established that you are a miserable man and/or your sole purpose on this forum is to bring everyone down to the level you are on with your negativity. People must get really bored of you.

The fact people complain about Given astonishes me. He was our best or second best player against Man Utd. He has been with us for what 10 years? He's rejected advances from other clubs to remain loyal to us. We always expect players to be proud of the shirt they are playing in and to pay us back with what we put into our club. Given does this.

he was more culpable for the scoreline than any other player. His fault for the first two goals which effectively ended the game

Goal number 1 - The ball went along the ground under the wall after they had all jumped. There are not many goalkeepers in the world who would be able to save that.

Goal number 2 - I agree, his ''clearance'' into Cacapa was very poor, but as was Enrique's and Taylor's attempts at defending. Enrique should have put the ball up the pitch, not given in back to the keeper.
