Arsenal TV starts tonight!
Comes with Setanta, Its free for none setanta subscribers for the night. (only on sky)
Will be a good watch think they are having a few past players on and stufff!
Cant wait till it properly kicks in to watch full reserve matches not just highlights!
Why are you telling us? This is a Newcastle forum.
Well its more of a general football forum and NUFC forum. You are fairly new right? You missed the whole split boards/post moderation stuff
I'll tell my dad (the soft southern gooner he is) that this is starting. Ta!
Well it would be easier if there was a general football talk board and a Newcastle board. This is all a bit messy.
But now you know what it's about, you needn't open the thread any more.
Indeed.

Taylor and Faye are without a doubt our best defenders.

Anyone else think the way that Sam Allardyce was removed from his position was totally unprofessional and out of order?
Anyone listening to Sky Sports News would understand that he was sacked and it wasn't a decision by mutual consent. Sky Sports News report that they received a phone call from sources within the club saying that Allardyce had left his job. They then rang Big Sam who had no idea what they were talking about, so he went into the club. 30 minutes later the club release a statement saying he was gone by mutual consent.
Totally wrong.
Whoever is responsible for the phone call to Sky should be sacked instantly. It is only common courtesy to actually inform the person being removed from their job before informing the press.
It is almost Shepherdesque.
Allardyce was not Mike Ashley's man.

And what's more upsetting is i tried to edit to put one at the end of mine and in my rush couldn't find the correct fecking smiley. dammit.
Oh, and touche by the way.
You're getting far too upset over this. This is the way Africa have organised their football calender. No matter how much you twist and whine, they won't change it.
Do you hear African football fans complain because the winter Premiership fixtures interfere with the build-up to the ACN? Thought not.
I'm not African, but I do now how important the tournament is to African football supporters who don't really have much of a chance to win the World Cup.
-
The tournament will not move to the summer, this is due to the inability to gain sponsership for a summer tournament.
This is because of the World Cup, European Championships and the Copa America all being held during the summer.
Is it not becasue its too bloody hot in most african countries to hold it in the Summer?
That is the main reason.
We have 4 players away, 4 first team players. We lost 6-0
Everton had two key players absent yesterday, they ground out a 1-0 win
Chelsea will miss Essien and Mikel to a lesser extent. With Anelka, Kalou won't be missed, Drogba will be obviously.
Reading had a few missing, they lost 3-1 (not a big surprise).
Arsenal were missing two key defenders and looked very shaky at times. Drew 1-1 at home.
Portsmouth sounded really poor today, lost 2-0 against the Mackems. They were missing 4 or 5 first team players.
-
When was the last time he went missing in a big game by the way?
FA Cup final. Cole had him in his pocket.
-
Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney were breathtaking yesterday. Man Utd have the perfect team. Best team in the world.
-
Everton v Man City
City have had a great season up to now, but away from home they don't look great although they did grab that win at Newcastle - but that's Newcastle.
-
Ashton is a class striker, fuck Peter Crouch.
I reckon £9m would be enough to sign Ashton.
-
When you consider Smith cost £6 million, £5.5 million for Diarra is nothing.
-
He's a very versatile player, I can see why Allardyce would have admired him. Although, I think he would take time to settle in the Premiership, he's quite weak for his size.

Saw Geremi stumbling out of The Gate about 2 months ago.

Does your Auntie keep finding footballs in her garden?
She'll definitely not have any greenhouse windows left with Shola nearby.

Given

N'Zogbia

damn you Jol, didn't you also win a big load of money when Roeder was appointed blueyes.gif
oh yeah, did he now.. hope he wins again and gets raped to death in the back of some Thai night club

BBC Radio WM just reporting that Spurs have accepted a 10.5m offer from Villa for Jermain Defoe.
j
O'Neil's not shy of splashing a bit of cash is he?
Good signing for you but way overpriced
I think 10.5 is fair enough pricewise, to be honest.
If you consider Bent cost £18m, £10.5m for Defoe is not a lot at all.
-
I was considering going, but not now.
-
It is not going to be McClaren.
Jol.
-
Nigel f****** Pearson in charge, i don't trust him with setting the cones in training and now he's gonna manage the team against United in OT..f****** hell : lol:
-
Jol.
Spurs became a top six club under him and he brought a lot of young promising players in. Hopefully if he comes to Newcastle he'll do the same.
-
Beye, Faye and Enrique
Ok, he's replaced Carr, Bramble and Babayaro.
So has the defence became more solid, can we say that he's improved the defence?
That's a no from me.
They've only played a few games together. Do you expect the defence to become stronger instantly?

I've established that you are a miserable man and/or your sole purpose on this forum is to bring everyone down to the level you are on with your negativity. People must get really bored of you.
The fact people complain about Given astonishes me. He was our best or second best player against Man Utd. He has been with us for what 10 years? He's rejected advances from other clubs to remain loyal to us. We always expect players to be proud of the shirt they are playing in and to pay us back with what we put into our club. Given does this.
