Definitely, I can't think of many games (that I watched) at Lille last season where he faced the sustained pressure that he has come under at times for us. He's adapting to a role that I'm not sure he has really experienced before.

Ideally, Tiote would be sitting in front of the back four and Cabaye would be in a more traditional CM position. He's a player who doesn't necessarily need time/space to express himself, but needs options. I'm not sure Obertan and Gutierrez are up to it - a front two of Ben Arfa and Ba on the other hand are...

Ben Arfa was brilliant on the left for Marseille. See no reason why we shouldn't play him there instead of Gutierrez.

 

I'd drop Obertan before I even considered dropping Jonas.

I'd like to see Gutierrez on the right, personally. Could be wrong, but believe that is where he used to play for Mallorca...

Not good enough to be playing for a side with top seven aspirations. The sooner we sign a quality LB, and play Santon in his natural position of RB, the better.

Quite ridiculous when you consider we sold a striker for £35 million less a year ago.

If they had any sense they would have offered him a say, £70k a week deal in October/November last year.

Along with Coloccini, Tiote, Cabaye and Ba - HBA is one of the most gifted players at this club, and on that basis alone, should be starting games. Obertan was invigorated when he came on, Ba moved into more attacking positions, Tiote and Cabaye played their more natural styles of football.

Today we saw why Hatem Ben Arfa can become one the best attacking midfielders in the league.

Completing the side, not carrying it today. Another brilliant performance. What a player.
