Would be pleased with Ciani. Good alternative to Samba.

I think Marveux should be red.
Definitely I'm afraid. Was always going to be a high risk signing and has lost a season of his career here all ready after playing about a game and a half in anger. Not his fault mind and hopefully he'll turn it around.
He is 25 years-old and has started 65 league games in his career (33 of which were the season before last). Massive gamble, that won't pay off, imo.

@OllieHoltMirror
Hearing more and more rumours about Tiote leaving Newcastle. Would be real shame for Toon fans because he's been real quality.
It'll this time next year we'll be worried about Cabaye going, fully expecting him to be more consistent next season.
That is the plan. NUFC is to serve as a place to develop players with the view to sell them for at least 300% profit.

Chronicle running a story about a bid for Tomkins. A West Ham fan in my office (ST holder) said he's been one of their best players this season. Very highly rated there...
How is that you fool?

Much as I dont like it, I can stomach player sales as long as we've had a couple of good years out of them, they've helped us move forward and we have an extremely good production line coming through.
A conveyor belt for the big clubs. I can live with that.

Bolton or Wigan (if they stay up).

PSV sporting director on Pieters: "We won’t sell in the winter and, second thing, he is injured."
-
would rather keep Simpson as backup and flog Raylor tbh
But would Simpson stay as back-up?
-
Would love Simpson as cover. He's done well enough at RB this year, although the immediate comparison is Ryan Taylor so it's a bit difficult to look shit.
But Danny Simpson is more ambitious than Raylor...
-
he has hes app, he dont need to work again
An app where he is chasing coin, how fitting.
-
Maybe the club want him out?
-
I would prefer Simpson to stay. I think the lad is a decent enough player and is a competent enough RB for me. He does have about two years left on his current contract so he could yet change his mind.
In the future, if we end up moving Santon to RB and sign a new LB, then Simpson would be great back up for RB.
But as it stands, if he wants to go then we can't really stop him though really can't see him leaving in January. He is our first choice RB atm and don't think Pardew will let him go.
Would rather keep hold of Raylor and sign a young LB to act as understudy.

France home shirt is nice.

Abeid and Williamson taken off at half-time. Could be involved on Saturday?
-
Funny you should mention Simpson, as my Arsenal mate seems to rate him, and said he would swap us Djourou (sp?) for Simpson. I'd take that tbh.
Sweet. How high up is your mate? What are the chances of this coming off?
-
He's a good, effective striker - and the kind we need alongside Ba. My only concern is his behaviour if/when a 'bigger' club is interested.
-
I really don't think HBA wants to play on the wing, more than it being Pardew's decision not to play him there. I know Pard's has claimed it's his decision but I don't believe him.
Excelled on the wings at Marseille. Would come on a win games almost single-handedly.

Isn't Maiga part of the Mali squad that qualified?I've never seen Maiga and am pleased cover is coming for ACN at least, but given our other players, wouldn't we be better off signing a right footed winger/striker?
He most probably will be, yes. Fortunately they only won three games in a qualification group that consisted of themselves and footballing heavyweights such as, Zimbabwe, Liberia, and Cape Verde. They didn't qualify from the group stages in 2008 or 2010 - so we could have him back as early as February 2nd.
Boudebouz is a fantastic player. The kind of player we should have gone for instead of a bargain basement signing like Obertan.
One of the types of players we should have gone for instead of Obertan. Pardew proving he's no scout.
Carr would have watched him last season - basically every aspect of Boudebouz's game is better than Obertan's. He'll leave in the summer...
How much do you think Boudebouz would cost? £12 million?
-
Few rumour-mong sites suggesting we are in talks with Taye Taiwo.
-
Positive move from the club. He simply isn't good enough to be playing for a club with top seven aspirations.
Long-term we should look to play Santon at right-back and sign a quality left-back.
-
Anelka's far too young and good to go and play in China. Another couple of seasons in Europe would have been easily possible, sorry to see him end his top-flight career so soon.
The man is a mercenary.
-
Apparently snubbed a new deal. I was a bit of a Simpson fanboy, but he's starting to piss me off, both on and off the field.
Judas! Traitor! Ship-jumper! Mackem!!!

Relegation was the best thing that happened to this club since Sir Bobby was in charge.
