watson couldnt change direction man, he was like a robot.
  2. Newcastle must also be the closest English club to norway ( exluding Berwick)
  3. 'Those were the Best days of our Lives' kaizer man
  4. I'm not assuming we'll beat anyone. At all. That's total nonsense. It's hardly 'arrogant' or presumptuous to expect a win against Derby ffs. As has been mentioned, they're 18th and we're top by a long way. Anything less than three points here would be really bad going, like i said. if its total nonesense.....what makes you think it was directed at you?
  5. it never ceases to amaze me how people begin to assume we will beat all before us after 1 good result. its never that easy, and as soon as you think it is, you fall on your arse.
  6. id be happy with 2 or 3 points from our 2 away games. The problem is Brom and Forest don't look like dropping too many points at the moment, generally speaking winning your home games and drawing your away ones should be good enough, but we may need to do a little better than that in the short term at least, to remain top. i was thinking about the following two home games being won, would keep us on target.

  9. im not so sure, all them sides are playing far better than sunderland.
  10. if sunderland lose tonight, i rekon thats the breathing space thier early season form got them, all used up. Play up Pompey. or as thier players say. Pay up pompey.
  11. Sorry mate, but if Gazza wasn't a "world class player" then I'm still waiting to see one. he was world class but,in my opinion could have gone on to the zidane/ronaldo/figo class he was world class for about 5/6 years. up to the cup final against Forest, i dont think he was ever as good again after that.

  13. I can remember that game - it was the first game of the first ever season I saw every home match - aged 10-11 and all in the Leazes End. All this talk about a "singing section " etc - I really wish some of the younger fans could have experienced the old Leazes End. It was on another planet compared to today. The old leazes was where me dad took mein the 70s.near the east stand corner. there was loads of aggro in those days.
