  1. Not really. It isn't going to happen overnight, especially with his agent being based in Argentina.

    Alan Pardew

    Get this dickhead off ffs.

    Alan Pardew

Yip, i got that impression. Could have easily meant it either way imo. I reckon it'll be stronger than the last couple of rounds but not our first choice side (a few changes). We'll see. Same here.

    Unlucky Christmas Tree.

Not a character I would want in my team. Would probably make good friends with Ranger though. No to Drenthe due to his character yet you're happy to congratulate Ranger on his 'good effort' for the stiffs, whose character is obviously spot on. And? He's already our player, and he scored two + got an assist. I don't see the point. Never said his character was spot on. Just find it odd you'd turn down Drenthe, citing his character, when you're happy to praise someone who is by far and away the least talented of the two but an even worse character.

  7. Obertan was on the non-starting team though otherwise.... Maybe Marv's guna start aswell ........why the hell does smith still get to train with the first team? Especially when you consider he's trying to wipe Hatem out in one of the pics.
  8. Top 3 sides have those players, 4th isn't a million miles away. i agree however tottenham have the likes of modric, van der vaart, bale and adebeyor. Liverpool have Suarez. We dont have a player of the class of these type. However it could be argued that our team spirit and camaraderie vastly outweighs having such world class players. Hatem Ben Arfa, Cheik Tiote and Fabricio Coloccini disagrees. I agree with you that these three plus Yohan Cabaye are very good players for our team and have the potential top be top class english premier league players. However they have to prove it over a longer period of time like the players named above have. We've had a good start to the season, and progression would be a top 8 finish. Colo was brilliant last season and has been this. Same with Tiote, despite his slow start. What has Bale proved in the PL that those two haven't?
  9. Top 3 sides have those players, 4th isn't a million miles away. Exactly. Add those three into the mix with our current side and it's easily a match for Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool.
  10. If we signed those three we'd be challenging for a top 4 spot, nevermind top 7.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Me too. For this game though, and to ease him back into the sdie as such, a free role from the right whilst sticking with two strikers could be very effective.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Against Wigan, we can get away with playing him on the right in my opinion, on the proviso that Santon plays RB as he has the ability to get up and down the pitch well enough to still offer us a decent amount of balance when attacking.

Maybe it wasn't Sports Direct, the tags on the items looked extremely similar though... http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20111019/soccer-scene-at-st-james_2281670_2487372
  14. Wouldn't get into the starting XI.
  15. How does what he said get taken out of context ffs?

    Alan Pardew

Bet he's telling Ryan that the left side is actually the right too! Seriously, whatever works and this is some funny stuff. Imagine if Saylor had come out with what Pardew had said Eh? We were playing downhill.

    Ryan Taylor

    Imagine if that was true.

Part of the club shop has also been turned into Sports Direct, with boots and foreign kits like Real Madrid on sale.

We've let in 6 league goals and you think he's played a part in 4 of those? Which ones? League Cup goals too. Four I've seen: Poor attempt at closing down/blocking the cross against Blackburn. Poor attempt at closing down against Wolves. Backing off for Forest's first. Stupidly diving in for Forest's third. Two I'm not 100% certain on as I wasn't in the country so only saw brief highlights, I'm sure someone will be able to confirm if I'm wrong on these: Conceded the free kick against Fulham? Got outjumped for the Scunthorpe goal?

I defend him because he's not as bad as some people make out. We conceded two goals today and none were his fault. He gets blamed for us letting in goals when others have had more of a direct influence on us letting the goals in. Can't agree with that, think people are right in their assessment of him. Like the Wolves game for example, I remember you saying he busts his arse for 90 minutes which simply isn't true, he gets lazy far too often and shifts the blame on to others when he needs to accept responsibility for his own role. None were his fault today but he's played a part in the majority of goals we've let in this season which is where his critics come from.

Not even going to debate Simpson with you, Mick. You defend him as much you criticise Pardew.
