Agree with the first part of your post but at the minute, Taylor is playing well and deserves to be in the side. Simpson on the other hand has been terrible for a good length of time now. I don't think people go overboard with Simpson either.

It's because everyone is desperate to convince themselves that Santon has to replace Simpson. Or that once again, Taylor has massively outperformed Simpson whilst playing out of position.

Great display from him today, did extremely well and has earned his place in the side for next week. Don't mind if he plays at LB or RB but he's moved ahead of Simpson in the pecking order who should be benched next week.

Reckon that's him done with us if it's true.

The reason Cabaye came here was to test himself in this league as he'd been in France all his career. Can't see him instantly returning to France considering this was the main factor in his decision. Agree. Can see him moving to a 'bigger' English club, though. So, let's hope we'll qualify for Europa League (at least) this season and we'll be fine. Jesus Christ.

I don't rate Best as highly as some people doand I know that I might be the one in the wrong but I'll go with what I think. Best does very little for me even if he has improved his game over the last couple of seasons, I can see him going on a run of games without doing much, especially against the better teams. Did you watch the game yesterday?

I know it's not fashionable to praise him but he was very solid again today. The block he made in the first half after Krul had made the save that had deflected off Steven Taylor was absolutely class. By no means the long-term answer playing as a full-back but really hope he gets a chance at RB at the expense of Simpson once we introduce Santon into the side.

Such a likeable player, would really hate to see him removed from the side on current form. Linked up the play superbly at times today and worked his nads off to boot.

Thought he performed very well again today apart from the tackle on Doyle that he didn't need to make. Hope he carries on this level of performance as it's such a positive of our side at the moment.
