I'd like to if I'm honest. I'm hoping to get to the majority of away games next season but it may be difficult for everyone to get tickets to be able to run a coach. I was thinking of leaving away games for this season and think about using the coach for away games the following season. As it stands, it's looking hard enough to get numbers for home games so away games will be on the back of my mind for the time being. Fair enough mate, i guess when the bus is just starting up is easier to concentrate on home games first and foremost! Can't wait for the season to start now like, me and me uncle usually have a good laugh on the way up but going to be awesome on a coach! Am sure there will be more people getting on for the Bolton game like, really hope it catches on properly! Me too. I think it will be brilliant if we can get it up and running. At this minute, it's in the balance unfortunately. I'm confident it can happen, but we need the numbers and I'm running out of ways to spread the word. Hopefully after the first few trips, everyone will really enjoy it and pass the word on that way. If people hear that it has been successful, they may want to sample it for themselves. Once we've chosen the route and pick up points on Sunday I'll post it on here. If there are any issues with the route or pick up points, we will amend it and then a final route and pick up points will be confirmed that will not change unless something drastic happens to result in it needing to be changed. I'll then start taking names for the Bolton game.

Cental Leeds would be top, down by the train station? Or even near the cricket ground? We have a fair few options of pick up points for Leeds, it's just deciding which is best; somewhere that allows us to get away fairly quickly without adding too much time onto the journey and avoiding the traffic black spots.

Yet another midfielder. How many do they want?
-
Also sent emails off to a few people at Yorkshire Mags and nufc.com. I await their replies...

Little update: We're sorting the route out on Sunday and confirming the pick up points. If you want to put forward a pick up point (within reason ) then do so in this thread so I can try and ensure everyone is happy. Probable pick up points with the option to add a couple more: Set off point somewhere in Hull Humber Bridge Ferrybridge Leeds Dave's house

Provisional Valencia (9th Aug) List: Ash Graham Josh Gaz SpinS Fatwax Rey Mysterio Woooo!
-
Looks like we'll find out sooner rather than later. With the Valencia friendly being announced, I think this is gonna be the best game to test the bus out. Likely to be the most attractive opposition we face so this will hopefully encourage more people to attend. Valencia - Saturday 9th August 2008 Who's provisionally interested?

Greg sent me in their direction a while ago. I sent an email off to them but heard nothing back. Definitely worth badgering them about it, looking at their website it seems ideal for both parties. Aye, think it's worth another go. Will sort that out later on too.

Will get onto that later on. Cheers guys.

Like I said in my opening post, they're two of the main reasons I wanted to start the coach. I also hoped that with everyone saving money on travel costs, it would mean more people can make it to more games than they'd probably usually attend. I really hope it can take off. Up to now, I cannot see a problem. The time when we'll really see if it's going to work is when it comes to gathering enough numbers for each game which is my only worry at the minute. Just plug it as much as you can mate, worth sending round all Toon forums and maybe even contact nufc.com & true-faith.co.uk n all, not sure what they'd be able to do but is worth trying. That's what I've been doing and it's worked quite well so far. I'm hoping to get an advert placed in the Hull Daily Mail which would be brilliant. I'll contact nufc.com later on today I think. What other forums would you suggest?

Good stuff.

It may be difficult as it will add a fair bit of time onto the journey but we'll look into it anyway. This is why we need to get suggestions down now so that the route can be sorted to try and please as many people as possible.

Barclaycard Premiership Credit Card. Offers INTEREST FREE on ST's
Ash replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Took just over a week for the whole lot including pin to come through. My problem at the minute is getting them to send out a Direct Debit mandate, they keep sending the letter saying enclosed is the mandate but there isn't anything but a pre paid envelope there. I might start sending them the pre paid envelopes back So I have pretty much no chance of sorting one before Sunday then? -

Anybody decided to use this option to pay for their season ticket? Seriously considering it myself. Just wondering though, how long is it gonna take for the card to come through? -
I think you're looking forward to it more than I am! Yep, plan on doing that. Things will really start rolling over the next month.
-
I think the way things are going, a few people may take this option. It was costing me near enough £50 each game towards the back end of the season. If someone ran a coach last season from say, Ferrybridge (just as an example), it would probably cost me about £15 maximum to get to Ferrybridge and back, then paying say £15 on a coach, it would still have saved me £20 each game. That seriously adds up over the course of the season.

I reckon we'd be looking at arriving between one and two hours before kick off. It will more than likely be determined by what time each game is going to kick off to be fair. It's open for debate anyway. On the way back, again depends on kick off time. If it's what people want, we can stay behind for an hour or so after the game. As I've said before, the driver is spot on and will really look after us.

Now that the fixtures have been released, the coach has been provisionally booked for every home game in the coming season, obviously changes will need to be made once the TV games are announced. Once the club finally get around to announcing our friendlies, we'll probably give it a trial run out to one of the games to see how it goes if there is enough interest. I'm still working on the price of the coach too. I'm hoping to knock even more off the price I stated earlier on in the thread but that is still up in the air at the moment. Just as a point, the cost for each person is likely to be determined on a game to game basis, depending on how many people are on the coach for each game. If the bus is full every week (fingers crossed!) then it will simply be a set price but I need to cover the cost of the bus and this may mean a varying price. The driver and I should be finalising the pick up points on Sunday. I think it's going to be something like this: Hull Humber Bridge area (for those in the Lincolnshire area) Possible pick up at a suitable point along the M62 Ferrybridge Leeds Possible pick up at a suitable point just after we turn onto the A1 If you think any of these could be altered, stick your suggestions below. Now is the time to do it. At the beginning of July I will probably start taking names for the Bolton game so I can gather how many are going to be on the coach for that game and arrange where people are going to be picked up. If anyone has any other questions, feel free to ask below or PM me.

Looks like we're gonna have to wait a little longer, and probably watch his price tag keep increasing.

One is fine, two is the problem. Is it? Heading for penalties now... Or not, they've gone and scored again! Sorry guys. *Holds hands up* Don't hold your hands up, hang your head in shame.

One is fine, two is the problem. Is it? Heading for penalties now... Yeah best goalkeeper in the world. No problem. Didn't help Chelsea in the CL final.
