Only 3 out of Group G can go through, whereas any from Group D realistically can. Maybe its the glamour of Brazil and Portugal that swings it. Maybe I've gone mental too....

So is Group G getting "group of death" status?? I'd say Group D was stronger.....

Can't believe how jammy England are!!! Honestly, the worst team in Pot 3 and the worst team in Pot 4. Ivory Coast in a hard group again, and will probably play Spain next if they scrape through it As a fan, I really like Groups A, D, G and H (can see G being given "Group of Death" status, but I reckon D is harder) but I'm gutted Algeria vs Slovenia and New Zealand vs Slovakia will be taking place. Oh and the ceremony was reminiscent of the Eurovision Song Contest!!!

Last season we had Taylor, Coloccini and Bassong as CBs and we still went down. Kilgallon isn't good enough to replace Bassong, in my opinion.

For 18 year old kids to get to play a quarter final against world class players will do them a world of good. Thats true, but this isn't some pre-season cup, its a major (ish) trophy. And as a manager thats went 4 years without one, I just think he should alter his priorities. Not that he's in danger of being sacked though.

Wenger's faith in the youth system at Arsenal is admirable, but i just wish he'd play some first-teamers in the later stages of the Cups. I think they're brilliant. People look at me funny when I say this, but they're my favorite team to watch in terms of the football they play. Started liking them when Mourinho was there and it never really went away. They play pretty attractive stuff. I'd much rather they win things than Man United or Liverpool.

Part of me wants an easy draw so we can progress, but another part is desperate to play a Premiership team......the players have a point to prove. Playing the kids is totally understandable because we're never going to win the thing, however I would actually like Hughton to play a good team.
