I don't believe that Journal article at all, hopefully its just there to calm us down a bit because this is by no means a done deal. ashley is in hawaii?? what a total bellend. although this meeting today is to find a compromise, so its positive he hasnt outright rejected it and is willing to negotiate.

i'll believe it when i see it. west brom agree a fee for mattock..........this summer can hardly get any worse. I find it funny that West Brom signing random kids from League 1 is what is making this summer bad for you. a) he's in the Championship now b) i said it's making it worse

i'd be very disappointed in habib if this happens. partly because hull are guaranteed relegation, but mostly because he can do so much better.

not happy with the fee, especially after the £10m bid had me dreaming of £12m+ figures. not happy with the club and manager he's signed for.....signing for spurs just makes him more dislikeable now not happy that its one of the players shearer wanted to keep, so how will he react to this? we could easily have haggled for more and turned it into a bidding war towards his market value, instead of caving in -
oh by the way, if this goes through we're having a massive forum-wide piss up!!!!
-
he is absolutely thick enough. but there comes a moment when even he has to say enough is enough.....he's inflicted more than enough torture on us and all he needs is a moment of sanity. accept it mike, please.

i dont know how mad this sounds, but at the moment i'd rather ashley took the club off the market and got a proper manager in, players etc. than let this charade fruitlessly go on and on. because at the end of the day its what happens ON the pitch thats important and that needs sorting ASAP.
-
for the first time in years, liverpool were genuine contenders and then they throw it all away. by virtually standing still this summer, chelsea are closer to the title!
-
Agreed with Bristol City. I also like the look of Derby and Forest.
-
i feel sorry for granero. real madrid bought him back after "giving up" on alonso, he shined in a recent friendly, and now he's being shunted down another place.
-
their predicted table is probably the best ive seen.....maybe swap leicester and QPR and put bristol city a bit higher. only at newcastle can FFT and the independent predict you to finish 1st, yet the times say 20th. when are we gonna have the NO predictions 2009-10?
-
is stephen appiah still on a free?
-
Realistically it'll be either O' Leary, Venables or Hughton......but I'd like Lee Clark, Steve Clarke, John Carver, Paul Jewell, Iain Dowie or Darren Ferguson. Or in fact anybody that'd dare.

Thomo, Obi, Supermac, The Chronicle's earlier than normal news, some transfer market movement..........the stars are starting to align. if this doesnt happen there'll be a riot.
