  1. Without taking agents fees in hand and assuming the Borga Baston deal goes through as stated for 15M then Swansea would have made 42M on sales and paid out 22M for new players.

Against the flow at the moment it seems.

  2.

What the hell are Swansea doing?

Nothing we could do if the story that he's doubling his wage (120K being bandied about). The money turned his head and he wanted to go, all in a very short time.

Suprised they allowed him to complete before signing his replacement, who we've been told for a few days now is imminent.

  3. Would suit how they play though to be fair and will have the likes of montero and siggurdsson getting around and beyond them

This will be Mo Barrow's year, if he lives up to his expectation we'll be lucky to keep him after this year.

  4. Is Borja Baston any good? Swansea supposedly getting him to replace Ayew, read somewhere he's meant to be quite similar to Michu and sure I've read people on here praising him

Looks like a Spanish front two for us with Borja and Llorente.

  5. Rumours that Everton have agreed £10 million fee for Ashley Williams.

Can see Swansea struggling this year, especially as West Ham are in for Ayew.

Wonder if he's the John Stones replacement?

Agreed. Makes you wonder what Wenger is playing at. Crying out for a solid centre half to go with koscielny and he misses a great chance. Guaranteed they won't make the signings they have needed for years now

10m is a very good deal for Everton: Arsenal should be all over this deal

A lot of Swansea fans getting worried now, at the start of the transfer window we were supposed to be after Bony, we sold Eder (never seemed to fit in when he played) and Polaschi (big suprise), then nothing happened.

Then it seemed we were waiting until after the Euro's (could have got Joe Allen prior for about 10 mill, its the one signing the fans were desperate for).

In the background the uncertainty of an American takeover that had been rumbling on for months.

Joe plays extremely well in the Euro's and one of the Swansea Welsh players is runoured to have said that he wold be off if we didn't sign Joe.

The American take-over finally happens and after that we fail to make a bid and Joe signs for Stoke and whoa and behold Williams looks to be off, we loan out our last remaining striker and pay a large chunk of his wages (about 22K a week I believe) and still no sign of any strikers being.

Ayew, who's not really a striker but is still our only regular goalscorer is now a target for West Ham, who raised their offer to what allegedly was the asking price!

The start of the season is looming and it appears from the friendlies that Routledge will be the main scorer.

Its not all bad as the friendly results appear to show we still have a team that can win, but these new American investors so far don't look live they intend to deliver investment on the team.

    Worrying times.

  6. Rather the ROI won the whole tournament than these sheep shagging arseholes won their next match.  Honestly, the Welsh are the biggest set of arseholes I've ever encountered, would have loved to glass a few of the pricks.  Bale is an ugly, bald, diving c*** an all, hope he dies.

    Please win this England.

    What a dick

  7. Swansea agreed a fee with Atlanta to sell Paloschi, the player making his mind up if he wants to go.

Odd one, only arrived in January, the majority of fans have high regard for him and a 2 million loss.

  8. The Swansea improvement is also a bit unfair to cite. He hadn't been playing for them that much when they were doing poorly. Their better results came with a new manager, iirc.

Actually you are wrong, he was ever present until the end of November when he picked up a knock, the next game he was supposed to be on the bench but refused, the next game he played was against Palace where he strolled about and clearly didn't want to be there and after that was the Oxford debacle when he was pulling up his socks watching a 4th division player run past and score.

Not long after that a lot of Swansea fans were celebrating, not believing the luck.

I honestly thought he would help save your season as he can do it if he really tries, I wasn't so confident he would remain mentally with it past the end of the season though.

  9. How do you rate him, Groo?

I think he's going to be a good thing for us, some of our fans think its bad because of our recent games against you guys and Leicester, but overall he's been very good as the results since he arrived. We were 18th when he was appointed, 21 games and 19 points. We are now 11th with 46 points, that's 27 points from 16 games.

He took over a poor team with no confidence and openly stated he would not change things too quickly, which he didn't.

He has a reputation of coaching players to get the best out of them, he wouldn't pick Montero as he said he needed to work on his defensive duties, when he did eventually pick him you could see the difference.

I'm looking forward to next season now.

  10. Why the f*** are Swansea looking to get rid of Guidolin? Seems to have done a very good job

I had given him a contract weeks ago, most Swans fans want him to have the job but it seems Rodgers is coming back. Rarely a good thing when someone returns to a club.

  11. Quite remarkable that Sunderland and Norwich's last two games will be against the same opposition, Everton and Watford.

Lets hope both are not at the beach, neither has anything to play for and looking like both will change manager in the summer so no-one to impress.

  12. Good luck today guys.

Not sure what Swansea you'll see, on the plus side Guidolin has stated he's played it safe since he came due to our position, now we're safe the shackles are off and he wants a more aggressive attacking team from here on in.

On the other hand there's a lot of off field drama with the possible sale of the club to some innocent American vultures.

Hope its a good game whatever.
