Jordan Ayew sent off against Huddersfield. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.
Abysmal decision by the ref, extremely harsh
I should add the reason it was abysmal, BOTH players went in dangerously, BOTH players caught the other, BOTH players were in pain, ONE player sent off.
Fuming here
Nah, Ayew went in harder, Hogg sorta pulled out.
erm... no he didn't. If you want to see it go to the Swansea site, Hogg did not pull out, full force stamp

Carvahal subs are sublime, Ayew for Olsson, attacker for defender followed by Abraham for Dyer, so 3 strikers on the pitch
-
Swans 1 up
-
They keep saying the Ayew's are the 4th brothers to play at the same time in the Premiership, the Neville's, DeSilva's and Toure's.
Didn't the Ameobi's ever both play for Newcastle?
-
Both Ayew's on pitch

I can't find anywhere playing the Swansea match, but Hartson's said neither team has really had a shot and it's very scrappy.
Quite scrappy yes, both have had chances but don't think a shot on target yet.
-
Someone pointed out we had more shots on target 1st half than we did the entire season when Clement was manager.

Carvahal has had some impact at Swansea
Carvahal has had some impact at Swansea
I mean we were 7-1 up and he takes off a Central Defender and brings on a young midfielder.

Bit of a hammering tonight for Nolan's lads. Has Shola made it off the bench?
No but Alan Smith has, longer hair than I remember.
Putting a few of our u-23's on now.

+Some good news for you, we've lost Fer and Bony for the rest of the season. Well Bony is no loss to be honest, an expensive mistake that should never have happened.
How important is Fer to you?
Fer's been playing very well. we're hoping Andy King will fill the gap but he's an unknown in our team.

Swansea sign Andy King from Leicester on loan til end of season too

You say you have bad luck with referee's.
Our last 3 games
Offside goal given against us
Second bookable offence ignored for opposition player
Player sent off (rescinded)
and today a def penalty and prob red card.
We definitely don't get a fair crack with ref's and no it doesn't even out over the season.
Don’t care.
Harsh, I'm in tears

Lucky for us, just after we SHOULD have had a penalty

Got a good young full-back on the bench named Connor Roberts, played well against Wolves, we can't fathom why we played a centre-half there instead?
-
We sold our main goals from last season and replaced them with two loans, neither really worked out
Sorry to cherry pick one statement Groo, but you don't think Tammy Abraham has worked out? I've seen articles where pundits are putting him on the plane to the WC.
(I personally think it would be a good idea for us to sign Sturridge or Carroll, assuming they're up for grabbing their last WC chance)
No I don't think he's worked out, if he had he'd be picked to play every week not sitting on the bench, if he's already on the plane for the WC then it shows how bare England's squad is.
I do think he has the potential to be a great talent but I don't think he's there yet, no way should we have bet our season on him and Sanchez, add to that Bony, who if he could week in week out would be fantastic, but I said when we signed him that he was a big risk due to his lack of games over the past few seasons, mainly due to injury.
Be a great game for socks to shine.

Groo, what team you likely to field?
It's hard to tell with the new manager, he's still finding his team.
Hope he has more luck in finding them than Clement did.

Its off field stories that are the focus for us. Think your ownership is bad!
The back and forth of arguments between the old owners and the trust is taking the main stage.
Briefly as possible, the old board members who 10 or so years ago helped save the club and were the driving force in our rise wanted to sell out because they cold not afford the riding costs and keep up with the wage demands.
Enter Americans#1, the board members wanted to sell controlling shares to this consortium, the trust wanted to do due dilligence and found they were more hedge fund investors, looking for profit and blocked the sale.
Enter Americans#2, the board learned from previous experience and kept the trust in the dark, a Chinese consortium came in and wanted to invest, then moths after the board had already signed agreements to Americans#2 the trust are informed, the trust want to look at both offers to see which benefited the club best but find that the board had blind-sided them and they sold to the Americans for a nice large payout.
Yes, Americans#2 are a hedge fund looking for profit, they have invested no money and low and behold, even after the big sale of Siggy on the last day of the window, we are being told there is no money to buy players this window!!
We sold our main goals from last season and replaced them with two loans, neither really worked out and an ex-player who has been injured for most of the time over the last few years and funnily enough has not been able to put a run of games for us.
We're in a mess and unfortunately, unlike Newcastle, we are not big enough to survive a relegation and come straight back up, with the current owners who probably are looking only to profit from the sale of any decent players we have left, we will fall back to where we came from, or maybe lower.
Those directors who were heroes a few years back are hated now by the majority of fans.

We need to win this.
Swansea are s***, from what I have seen of them this season they just sit back and let teams come onto them and hope the other team gets tired and try to get back into the game on the break.
That's surely over-estimating us.
-
They're missing Naughton and Fer for this.
Fer's been in and out and everyone's hoping they extend Naughton's ban for 10 matches at least.

No way you guys are going down now, if we can muster a win away against West Brom next week that will see us virtually safe.
