You can Siggy for 50 mill, bargain.

As a Swansea fan it feels good to see our owners being firm for a change, over the years its been depressing seeing the money going for players who are similar level to our best players and then seeing teams coming in for a cut price deal from us.

Borja Bastón to Málaga for €5m. That's a steal for a young goalscorer with a proven record in La Liga.

Most reports say it is a loan move?
It is, but appallingly no loan fee.
In other news Roque Mesa in Swansea having his medical, his brother tweeting photo's of himself with Llorente and Makelele.
Amat off to Betis, another loan deal it looks like.
and of course, ignore all rumours, Siggy's going nowhere.

Nothing solid happening at Swansea yet, although we apparently will be signing Abraham from Chelsea on loan, as you guys know, and trying to sign Holger Badstuber from Bayern Munich on a free.
-
What a bizarre decision. Swansea is a shithole of a place and they are hardly an amazing club to want to play for... He'd also be behind Llorente?
Would have made more sense if he sacked us off for Brighton.

His Swansea sacking was ridiculous tbf and Leeds fans seem to hold him in high regard. At least, they did before the end of the season.
Think he's a horrible slimy creep personally but would probably be a decent appointment by mackem standards. Would definitely prefer to see them going for shitjock v7 from Aberdeen.
haha, aye and all other team fans think Newcastle fans were mad for wanting to sack Pardew.
Here's the response by Swansea fans when asked an opinion on Monk.

Well loved you see
Fair enough. From the outside it seemed a harsh decision at the the time like, as it seemed with Guidolin (?)
Guidolin I can agree with, most fans were shocked, we lost too many games, the vast majority against teams we would be expected to lose against and other seasons had taken points from. This year we lost them all and it gave the new board the excuse to bring their man in.
Although we were losing, we never looked outclassed, we lost by the odd goal in close games, we looked like we could pull out when we had a run against like sized teams. But they sacked Guidolin before they started and then we suddenly looked shocking under Bradley, not only losing but shipping goals for fun, had Guidolin stayed I'm sure we would have pulled to mid table by Christmas.
Thank god they saw their mistake and changed to Clement, after Christmas we all thought we were doomed.

Yes 2-1 Swansea, up to 15th

1-1 Swansea, Ayew

I'm so glad Palace beat Hull last week, imagine of it was a three way fight for the last relegation spot this week and Palace play away to Man Utd youth/reserve team.
Disgusting that this is allowed to happen.
-
Some of their fans tried to sell those tickets. Ridiculous.
At least 400 tickets had been sold before the announcement. Imagine you bought a ticket early then found you couldn't make it and then can't sell because of free tickets.
-
Swansea players pooling together and buying all the tickets for the fans for the final away game at Sunderland.
-
Some good thoughts for you, if Swansea and Hull both win next week, we'll be going into the last game with Swansea and Palace on 38 points and Hull on 37.
Of course I'm personally hoping Palace and us win next week
If that happens Hull are down aren't they?
Absolutely, we'd go into the last game stress free, would hate to be playing in a three way split game last game.

Truely amazing story for Newport if scores remain when you look at how far behind they were at the turn of the year.
-
Swansea 1 Everton 0.
It's in our hands now, so hopefully we'll have two games against you guys next year.
-
Everton pressure now, my heart can't take it
-
I'm certain Alfie Mawson will have 3 lions on his shirt one day
-
We could have had 4 goals this half, so unlucky, just hope we don't rue those chances, keep Everton out and we have a great chance of staying up.
-
Ayew post.
-
Decent result for Swansea.
I'd have grabbed that with both hands before the game, but feel robbed now due to that penalty.
-
Congratulations, against Preston too, I remember being at Preston watching Swansea win to gain our first ever promotion to the First Division in 1981, the glorious Toshack years.
-
Oh and as a general comment from fans of 'bigger' teams, "shit team, shit players", nice.
We have some very decent players and when they play as a team can give a game to almost anyone. Yes we're not Chelsea, then again we don't have the money to hoover up all the best players.

Bradley didn't have a clue. Totally out of his depth.
Crucified by the media for being American and only given 11 matches to change a squad full of s*** into not-s*** No matter how many times someone tries to argue Bradley was rightly sacked, it will always be bullshit. Should he have been hired in the first place? Now that's a different argument, and that one could be had properly.
Sorry, but your showing yourself up as someone without a clue.
There was never a backlash against him being American, he could have been a Martian as long as we played decent football. Although his appointment was because the new American owner's wanted an American manager.
You said earlier he had a good record in Europe, can you point me out to that, because I read his record, although fairly decent he didn't stand out. Most of his management was in America or for National teams, his league teams were small Scandinavian or French second division (equivalent of 4th division here). If you say he had a great record, then I can imagine you'd welcome Russel Slade, Gary Johnston or Steve Evans appointed as Newcastle's manager. He wasn't a young up and coming manager, could accept a young manager who's been showing great promise but not a ling at the tooth manager who'd never managed at the top level in the league.
A lot of the angst was due to the sacking of Guidolin, a manager who did have a top experience and was sacked after a string of bad results against mainly to top teams. In all those games we played well, were never looking out of depth and never thrashed.
Then came Bradley and suddenly we were looking shocking, not just losing but letting in 3, 4 or 5 goals every week.
Wow, you think he was treated badly!!!!!!
I don't blame Bradley, he took his opportunity as any manager would. He started off by telling the World how he had finally arrived in a top league and how he was as good as Klop, Mourhino, etc. Nothing like confidence, then turned us into a team who couldn't defend.
Sorry, he was bad, very very bad. Extremely bad.
If you can stomach your team being destroyed by someone who didn't know what he was doing, then good for you.

I agree with that, would love to see not only a transfer cap but a squad size cap, including how many youth players to stop the top elite hoovering up all the talent and loaning them out, that or a maximum number of players any team can loan out, say 2. that will put a lot of young players off joining them.
