  1. Didn't Clement do relatively poor when given a managerial opportunity at Derby?

just over 42% win ratio. Not too shabby. Play-off position was not good enough for Derby's owner.

I couldn't quite recall how good/bad he done but thought it was worse than that to be fair.

I think they spent over 25 million on players and the owner expected to be clear at the top.

  2. Actually wanted Bradley to do well because of the s*** Robbie Savage was talking when he got the job. As well as that he was doing badly but I think it's a bit harsh to judge managers when they don't get a pre season with the team

He didn't inherit a good situation at all but he also didn't have them showing any kind of improvement. It's a shame because he is a highly-respectable manager and he'll never be given another chance in the country, while complete and utter s*** like Pardew continue getting looks.

Media also treated him like absolute s*** when he started and they seemed to be rooting for his failure. American, no PL experience, says the word "soccer", makes fun of his attire. All pretty pathetic tbh.

Regarding his performance, he stepped into a terrible situation, surely worked his bollocks off and didn't get it done, so the sacking while harsh, totally get it.

Sorry, but a load of nonsense.

We were playing as a team for Guidolin and the results would have come. He was replaced purely because the new American owners wanted an American manager.

Bradley was plying his trade in the lower French league's, had never had a job in the top European leagues. When he started he rolled off a list of the top managers in Europe and boldly stated he was as good as them. Then showed he had no idea of who the players were for Swansea as he constantly swapped and changed, put out disjointed teams as we fans watched goal after goal scored against us.

It's not his fault, but he should never have been appointed, Guidolin should have been manager when the opponents became easier and we could have gained points and position, instead, Bradley was brought in and wasted any opportunity we had to pull ourselves clear.

  3. Madness is they gave him a 3 year contract, a year more than they gave Guidolin who was 10 times the manager and saved us the previous year.

    Who do you want?

Someone who brings back the style we've lost.

I felt sorry for Guidolin, he was shafted, no attempt at strengthening the squad in the summer. Players were available and wanted to come but we made no bids, the owners were too busy sorting out their personal nest eggs.

In the end we lost some good players and tried to replace them with last minute bargains with no attempt to improve on last years squad.

We started the season weaker and lost every game in a very hard patch of games, where other seasons a bit of luck would see a draw or an unexpected win. We were getting better, never looked out of depth and with just a bit of luck could have snatched a few points.

    Then Bradley was brought in.

When we brought managers in before, the board made sure they had a plan and the guy appointed already knew about every player in the team. Bradley seemed to know nothing, continuously chopping and changing, not knowing the best formation, mixing a blend of players on the pitch with disaster all over it.

The West Ham game a perfect example, at home against a relegation rival and picks a team with 9 defensive players in it!

Almost every game the players picked were inappropriate for the opposition. He should never have been appointed.

For the first time ever a fans poll has the majority at 82% predicting relegation.

I have zero coinfidence that the guys in charge will make the right decision.

  4. Rumours beginning to circulate that our Bob has gone, should never have been appointed. If it's true I'm still not happy as the brain dead that brought him in will no doubt have another unpleasant suprise for us. :(

Believe me we'd take that lol....

Think worse, much much worse, then it will be closer to what we will end up with. At least Pardew has a record of some initial success.

Stop right now, that's the talk of a battered wife taking the husband back for one more chance. Don't even think about it, you're selling your soul to the devil if you do.

Believe me, I would not want him, but he would no doubt be better than what our board will get in.

  6. Swansea getting what they deserve for giving an American a PL managerial job. Sickening stuff.

That's because we were sold out to clueless American's in the first place. Bought the club because of the Premiership money, not to build a winning team.

  7. I said it at the time but not replacing Ashley Williams with anyone proven was a huge mistake

The biggest mistake was not going for Joey, he wanted to come back we didn;t even bid, thats the reason Williams left, he even said he would during the Euro's if we didn't sign him.

  8. and yes Bradley hasn't a clue, I think headless chicken is the most common description on our board. Not a clue.

Before this year we always picked up some unexpected results against bigger teams simply by the way we played, nowadays we give the games away without a wimper.

  9. Looks like we won't be playing Newcastle again for some time

Bradley looks absolutely hopeless for you's.  Awful tactics today to allow Man Utd so much time on the ball.

The board who were heroes for so many years sold us down the river this year, took the silver and screwed us.

Everything we were known for has gone.

  10. They weren't trigger happy with Monk, their form was poor for a good number of months.

I'd say two/three month is trigger happy considering their form from the beginning of his reign.

From a swansea fan I know, they were bad from February last year onwards minus a good start to last season.

From another Swansea fan (this one) that's a load of nonsense, we played some of the best football towards the end of the season, including 4-1 away to West Ham and 3-1 at home to Liverpool.

  11. This is the result of selling to a group of know nothing Americans. Guidolin had the full support of the Swansea fans everyone could see that he was screwed from the decisions made by the new board over the summer and felt the team had played well this season, only the Hull game was a shock the rest could be expected, a very hard start to the season.

As can be seen by our messageboard, very little to no support for this action.

Looks like our flirt with the Premiership will end this season. Hope we can stop a slide like the 1980's.

  12. Burnley and Hull have the two bottoms places sorted. WBA, Palace, I think Swansea will all give it a go to go down. Watford and Bournemouth have to be careful not to suffer 2nd season syndrome, I think Watford are at more risk of this than Bournemouth though. I think Sunderland will be safe, they will do their usual of playing dead until the last minute.

No chance Swansea going down mate, those who know nothing about our team make too much about Ayew and Williams leaving.

  13. Who are you going to replace Williams with?

Surely you can't rely on van der Hoorn, Amat and Fernandez as your CBs this season

My guess Amat, he is a good defender and we're lucky he's still here with Williams and Fernandez keeping him out, his chance to shine. VdH has looked decent as competition and we have a highly rated younster Joe Rodon coming through.
