  1. 18 points with captain Soldado, Vertonghen, Ramsey and Lambert to play. Need Bob Soldado to finally bust out a hattrick to save what will otherwise be a pitiful miserly week. Took a 4 point hit as well removing the injured Brady and the ever-benched Welbeck to bring in Lukaku and Ramsey.

Good news is I still have over 6m in the bank. Will wait a couple more weeks before removing Hart and A.N. Other and splashing out on Suarez or Benteke.

  2. Pardew confirms Goodison summit

During Thursday afternoon's pre-match press call, United boss Alan Pardew admitted that a post-match meeting took place at Goodison Park on Monday night between himself, Mike Ashley and JFK:

"It's important to go to see the owner after a game like that and make sure that we know where we are coming from.

"We had a good meeting after - me, Mike and Joe - just to make sure we know exactly what is going on on the pitch and what's going on in terms of the results.

    "There was nothing untoward there."

The phrase "vote of confidence" wasn't aired.

What the fuck does that even mean?

  3. Exactly the TYPE of appointment we should take a punt on. I don't claim to know anything about him as a manager. Having said that, plying your trade in Japan, with their culture and discipline, mixed with his Balkan flair and temperament sounds to me like a good platform to build a managerial career from.

We'd have absolutely nothing to lose, and everything to gain. We can't get worse than what Pardew has bestowed upon us in the last 2 years.

  4. Why not go for a more progressive, utopian approach & not have any f***er?

The 1st team can be simply determined by the outcome of an intense cards school on, say, Thursday after training. Training being what everyone fancies on any given day. Matchday would simply be a case of hanging the shirts up & letting them getting on with it.

Post match interviews could be a series of pre-recorded, generic footballing cliché`s compiled from sampled archive footage of "Big Ron" / Dave "Harry" Bassett & their ilc.

I wouldn't be able to tell the f***ing difference man.

 The top and bottom of it. Top post.

  5. Pardew is a yeast infected moulding c*** who should be hounded out of the club. The players look like they've been on holiday all week, and just come here to wing it. f*** off you smug useless gobshite.

  6. The best I can think of as a poacher at Newcastle was Alan Gowling, he was lifting as a player.  He did nothing but steal into the box and get on the end of another players work but contributed nothing to our game.

shearer and ferdinand, while not primarily poachers were both very good at it. david kelly maybe ?

Andy Cole? Actually talking bollocks here. Cole fashioned out chance after chance with one of the best "turning" techniques of his time.

  7. You don't see him making mistakes like the one he made today very often.

Can't remember the last time he f***ed up like that.

It wasn't much of a mistake, he tried to come out and claim the ball but couldn't get passed a couple of Villa players between him and Benteke.  He did what a keeper will normally do but on this occasion claiming the ball wasn't possible.

Making the judgement of whether to come or stay, and getting it wrong, is a mistake.

I haven't said that it wasn't a mistake, I just don't think it was too bad.  He had a decision to make and he made the same decision most keepers would have made and the result would have been the same no matter who the keeper was.

This. The way the 3 Villa players piled in front of Krul, it was a goal that was coming provided Benteke made the right contact with the ball. The whole move was just one of those goals that was bound to go in, even if Sissoko hadn't have lost Benteke. The key was the perfectly taken corner. Krul didn't flap at it. He was committed but didn't get there fast enough. He had conceded enough goals last season staying on his line, so for me, coming out represents that he's learning, and he'll be better for it. Thankfully it didn't cost us this time.

  8. Or a striker who'll do everything that Cisse does plus offer what Shearer would do defensively.

I'm not to bothered if we leak a few goals to big lads as long as we score a few as well. It's the price we will pay for having ball playing defenders really and Benteke is quite a handful.

We don't have a Shearer or Carroll to defend corners / free kicks or good defenders in air so will need to find other ways to sniff out their danger.

It's not necessary to win every header at a set piece, but it is important to challenge for them to prevent a clear head at goal. That's where we fell down with Sissoko and it can be addressed in training.

Spot the fuck on dude

  9. No idea why he's being compared to there players tbh. None of them are a joy to watch as HBA is. Maybe Hazard at a push. In my mind he shares more similarities in style of play to Suarez if a comparison must be made. HBA is of course ten times the man Suarez is.

  10. Ben Arfa told France Football: “At 26 years old, I still have plenty of time in front of me. I am not about to describe my career prior to retirement.

“I know some will again think that I am mad but I still dream for example of the Ballon d’Or. I am convinced that this is still possible.

“It is forbidden to dream? I disappointed a lot of people over the past years, I have even annoyed many too, no doubt. But those people were right. I was not very professional.

“I think I gradually changed as I have grown up. I have understood some basic stuff with regards to  the strength that a community brings.

“I still believe that one day I will be the best player in the world. But my biggest victory will not be that one. It will be of becoming a well-rounded man after overcoming so many obstacles.”
