Does no one give a shit about the ACN?
Well Ghana beat hosts Angola 1-0 to reach the semi's. Goal by Asamoah Gyan.
Ivory Coast - Algeria coming up.

Still see him out and about in Limassol from time to time. Canny fella, even if he's a little full of himself.
-
Tbf, Rooney's trying to win this on his own.
Aye. He's in a completely different class to Man Utd's other attacking players.
For most of the game, he was playing as a target man, which he can manage okay, but in the last 15 minutes, after Owen came on and he had a freer role, he was absolutely brilliant. To get the most out of him, you have to let him drop deep and run at defences.
absolutely. it's beautiful to watch.

Kaka is playing with the grace of a one legged duck.
Why am I not surprised

Bet you we get more Benitez being a c*** to the interviewer afterwards and giving the same "I'm not going to comment" remarks to every question, if they don't win. The man is like a petulant child, moaning about referees all the time. It's his team selection and transfer policy that are to blame, obviously.
Aquilani now looks a massive gamble at 20m.
you don't say

Whether it's bad management, shitty transfers, boardroom interference, financial crisis, no new stadium, or whatever the fuck else reason....this shit couldn't be happening to a nicer club.
Hate their name, their stadium, their kits, every single one of their players and most of their fans.
Hope Liverpool FC goes to fuck and it's one club I don't mind seeing disappear from the football map.
I'm off for a few pints

What a utter disgrace of a game, these are two PL teams ffs
Rather watch a ladies division 3 game in Finland than this s***.
We know you're just being silly dj, if you'll watch Serie A you'll watch anything.
Serie A has more technique than the Premier League, and I don't just mean the top four, I mean in terms of the entire division.
Don't even bother Kez, this crowd is too tuff for the two of us to handle

RIP Mr. Lovenkrands
Puts it all into perspective

We would be far more attractive to buy had that fat c*** not given Hughton 3 years contract instead of just letting him stay in charge until the end of the season. (Effectively enabling the new owners to pick their own man from the start).
Not exactly true. The contract given to Hughton may have contributed a semblance of stability to the group. Him being the boss proper for a change has put him in a stronger position of authority. And the fact is, they are behind him and are playing for him.
Just a thought like...

I have never liked Egypt as a football team, always strikes me as a bunch of cheats.
This coming from an Inter fan?
wow, are you for real? don't quit your day job man
right-o
Then tell me why you feel Inter is an team full of cheaters please? and don't give me some smiley cockney laughing of a discussion type of bullshit post
Number one, its an Italian club. I dont recall many high profile leagues where a club won the title because the team that actually finished top were relegated and stripped of the title due to match fixing. Obviously Inter were not the club found cheating, but yes I am generalizing because corruption in Italian football is rife.
Number two, I have watched over a hundred of Inter's games throughout my life, and they have had some of the biggest cheats in world football playing for them. Figo, Materazzi, Sergio Conceicao just to name a few.
Third of all, Egypt rarely get the chance to play on the world stage, and I bet you haven't seen more than 7 or 8 Egypt games in your life. Calling them a bunch of cheats when they have won the previous tournament with bulldozing style, and on the day they won this particular game with a storming second half without resorting to any kind of cheating, doesnt make your argument look good.
Basically, if you went around and asked 100 football fans most would pick Inter over Egypt as the "bunch of cheats", as their salient reputation goes.

An embarassment in every sense. At least the fat b****** Amodu might be fired. I mean, did he just replace Mikel Obi with Kanu? Is he on cocaine? At least when Oba and Osaze are back fit it will improve and the second round probaly still beckons, but he still must go.
I was also going to ask. They don't seem to employ many foreign coaches. Is it a national tradition like it was in Engand before Sven?
-
With teams like Nigeria, for all the talent in the world, I believe its tactical naivete and lack of bottle which has proved their downfall in the past. And present.

Is Oba playing and Zidan for Egypt?
Oba on the bench
-
Mohamed Zeidan is having a cracking game. Brilliant little player.
-
wicked deflection. unlucky nigeria. nice build up play though
-
Egypt just did a perfect through ball through our entire defence and Enyeama came out about 30 yards to challenge. I tire of this.
I coud understand the keeper did it, but still managed to make himself look like a tart
Where's Aboutreka? is he playing for Egypt?

Malawi 3-0 Algeria.
We should f***ing piss our world cup group. Slovakia, the Algerians and Mike, should win all those games.
Love the Algerians getting tonked. Cunts of the highest order.
-
Was watching a tv interview with old Temuri on local Cyprus box.
We should be breaking the bank to bring in someone like him in midfield. What a class act he was (just been musing over a compilation or two of his).

Where's the contradiction?
I think that Beckford would get 10 between now and May. I know that Harewood would achieve that figure.
what a fantastically ridiculous way to put it
-
ASTON VILLA have offered striker Marlon Harewood to Newcastle for a cut-price £1.5million.
Harewood, 31, scored five goals during a loan spell at St James' Park but was sent back when Villa demanded a loan fee on top of the £28,000-a-week wages they were paying.
Villa acted after realising Magpies were chasing Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford instead of going for their man.
They have pitched the asking price at the same level as Beckford's current worth in the hope Newcastle will pick the experienced Harewood instead.
Hull are also monitoring the forward's situation but have yet to make a formal bid.
no thanks. he's shit
-
£1.5m for Harewood is a crime. He's not worth a buy.
Is the truth!
Id far sooner take a punt on a hungry and ambitious 26 yr old from the lower division than bring in a journeyman 5 yrs older for half a million less.
The other games today - 2009/10

Brilliant win by Egypt. Cameroon can fuck off, and hopefully Egypt will maul the cunts that are Algeria in the semis.
Good stuff![](https://newcastle-online.org/uploads/emoticons/thup.gif.c439c5167f3e3b8fe8a6c3634b5de4a7.gif)
