  1.

Some ridiculous suggestions with regards to the "fluke" header! The ball was floated over, the lad reacted, put the ball back into a dangerous position from which we scored! Simple! Had that been Shearer or Drogba or Torres we'd be talking about how well these goalscorers can create goals too.

  2. Did anyone see wba gme vs boro.

I hate to say it, but atmo we wont win this league.  wba are the best team in the division atmo, they played some great football in last 3rd against boro.

We gonna have to sharpen up alot to beat them, fro the champ winners title!

Unless something internal causes massive fail, 2nd spot is achievable at a stroll.  However i dont trust huyton to sort out the midfield fiasco ......hoping we dont stall our great start!

    its finely balanced atmo!

Chris Van Huyton is class and will take us back up

  3. Depor has been given a special permission to sign a player outside the window, and apparently they are going after Giovanni Dos Santos from Tottingham. The extension La Liga has given to them will expire at the end of the month.

I hear Depor are totting up the coins to buy him

  4. I was a Newcastle 1st team member under Dalglish and Gullitt, I made the 1st team squad twice but was the 17th man. Played 3 years for the reserves though with the likes of Brayson,Crawford,Barnes,Rush,Saha,Huckerby,Gary Brady,Serrant, Stu elliott,Jamie mclen. I had th 26 shirt.

I was the bbotboy for Andy cole,Lee Clark and Ritchie appleby

    My name is David burt.

Not exactly famous like but i am still proud of the fact i was a pro at the club i love.

    I remember you  :smitten:

  5. Argentina will be there. They are still fifth I think? That gives them a playoff spot against some crap team from NA.

True. Would be roflicious if they failed to qualify though.

I'm banking on Portugal to fail, would give me years and years of abuse towards my Portuguese friends + Cronaldo now at Madrid.

Aye, agreed. Biggest mob of diving cheating cry baby cunts I have ever seen on a football pitch.

  6. I couldn't give a f*** if the buyer invests their own money tbh, if they run the club sensibly and with ambition we'll be fine. The potential is there; a small amount of speculation will see us up, cut the dead wood (Geremi etc) and get in a manager who you trust and back them within reason. Don't need to be especially wealthy to make a decent success of this club.

And there it is. It really is f***ing easy to make this club a success as all one needs is common footballing sense. Ashley and his cronies have clearly lacked this and here we are, slowly clawing back to normalcy despite the fat one's ineptitude.

    I wish.

If it was as easy as you make out how come the people who have done the best job of trying in over half a bloody century are despised by so many and thought of as s***, unless the "so many" who think this way are total know-nowts?

    You tell me, mate.

tell me who they are. the vast majority think they done very well for a while then lost it in their last few years in charge.

Unfortunately in some peoples world view opinions are immutable and indivisible by time period.

Thinking a film started well means you have to stand by the whole film being good, even if it ended weakly.  Conversely, expressing the opinion that it ended weakly means you think it was all s****.  There is no way for them to reconcile having two opinions about the same thing at different time periods.

Such a pretentious comment. Was that a team effort with your class-mates?

A very valid point made by Thomas tbh.

That's it! I'm telling my mummy about you  :weep:

  7. Aye, he was crap.

I never said he was crap, it just shocked me.

    I know.

I dunno, like a few strikers the more 'instinctive' the chance, the better chance he had of burying it, I think.

Aye, I'm the same. Always missing the easier chances when I have all the time in the world. The harder the chance is, and the more off-balance or awkward my position is, the more guarantee that it'll end up in the back of the net.

  8.                         Harper

    Simpson   S.Taylor   Coloccini   Enrique

    Jonas      Guthrie     Barton      Lovenkrands

                           Smith

                          Ameobi

I am not at all against giving Smith a go up front tbh. Maybe in the CCC he may get on the goal trail once again. However, if not, then he must play as the anchor, as he's done a great job so far. In that line up it would be Barton I'd push upfield, and if not then definitely Nolan.

Oh, and I personally don't think Jonas' best position is on the left wing despite his decent link up with Enrique.

  9. To be honest, I dont want a striker who'll run around, work hard for the team and close people down. We have plenty of those already. You have to have one striker who stays in the danger area and takes his chances when they arrive

Look at his 3 goals. Man Utd, West Brom, Boro. All very good finishes in and around the 6 yard box. Looks like he's what you wanted.

and should have added Everton to that! had he not fluffed it, we would have stopped up  :harry:
