Just realized that even with this defeat, Everton would only be 5 points adrift of 7th place.
EDIT: Just watched and saw that Atlético are 1 down against Nicosia already. Not even Europa League for them.
(for APOEL......couldnt give a rat's ass about Atletico. APOEL playing direct football, punching in the right places. Atletico are trying to be too clever dancing around with the ball like bellends).

serie A
the whole league is just a f***ing farce
How?
overrated
boring as f***
empty grounds
cheating is rife from the owners all the way down to the players
Can I ask how many Serie A games you've watched in the last 6 months to a year?
The whole sum of fuck all
For said reasons mentioned above

...is a cunt every day of the week
I'm not Irish, and the handball affected me in no way shape or form.
Still a cunt though, and so are all the clubs he's played for/currently plays for
-
I finish 5-a-side same time as KO. Have to give some mates a lift. Won't be back in until after half-time. Cunts!
Howay!!

what made metz so good was the travelling and it being a normal place. whereas milan was quick flight there good atmosphere and flight back for me. if we ever get back into europe i'd be more interested in going to the likes of zurich than madrid.Euro trips were just the best. Had some cracking laughs and good memories of Barca, Inter, Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus.
The Inter trip was probably the best, fabulous atmosphere and very strong lager.
i'm going to do leicester away, "win to stay up" tonight

I didn't realise either.

I don't think the winners of each WC have come from the same continent in succession unless the same nation won it in succession (Brazil, Germany). So with that in mind, it will be one of Brazil, Argentina or Italy.
-
it was an idea but then the original was posted three yers ago and yours is reply no.4.Is this part of a serial you're writing madras? if so, where's the others. if not, you should.
maybe one night when i'm bored i'll do others. metz was the best trip of all though.
shit just realized
the rest of the forum didn't think much of it then? i guess they were too busy on the Luque thread
-
I believe it will be a South American team. Brazil by default unless Messi can carry Argentina to the cup

with this whole video technology debate raging on for the last few pages, I have a question:
If video replays were implemented in the game, which leagues/tournaments etc... would it apply to? Would it become a uniform way to judge football across the board? Poor nations, lower divisions, friendlies between Nepal and Madagascar, WC qualifiers between Western Samoa and Fiji?
Is it affordable enough to become law?

Fuck. Just realised we'll have the french AND the portuguese at the world cup. A France - Portugal final is my worst football nightmare. 22 cunts on the pitch
-
Shame Trappatoni won't get one last chance to be at the finals too. The man is pure class.
-
The French having the luck of the irish doesn't excuse them from being cunts. I absolutely loathe the attitude of the likes of Henry, Gallas and Malouda to the game. I wish nothing on them but every heavy defeat and embarrassment at the finals.
Domenech is also a clueless twat who should be doing better with a vast array of talent at his disposal. Lassana Diarra is one of the best in the world in his position and I hope he will showcase it at the world cup.

Coloccini marking David Villa, bit of a variation from Craig Mackail-Smith.
or Brett Ormerod

I see what you're saying but they've just lost a game they could have won (plus two players) and a a result their entire seaon depends on The Lyon game.
Not going to end well.
The success of the entire club depends upon the fitness of 2 players. One is injured - so he brings the other off to give himself half a chance of saving his job and Liverpool's season. An odious football club who, hopefully, will crash and burn in the most splendid way possible.
Fingers crossed Man U win their 19th League title just to rub a bit more salt in too.
That's a top post. Would love nothing more than to see them out on their arse. Odious is the perfect way to describe that club.
-
The price of the club is £80m. There is no payment to Ashley afterwards or anything else, no instalments, no payment on promotion. The £80m is actually the price of buying Ashley's loan, the shares are acquired for £1.
The reason nobody bought to club so far is that there are two ways to buy an asset like this, with bank funding, or with spare cash. Those with spare cash are the uber-rich, who buy a club as a status symbol, not a work in progress. So they want a Premier League club, not a Championship club.
The other way involves raising finance from a bank or other fund, and as well as being difficult in the current climate, the club doesn't have anything to offer as valuable security. This is why Moat's bid stalled.
Can't agree with the work in progress statement.
There are 3 clubs who are status symbols (Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal)(4 if you include Liverpool but they need a stadium and a fair wedge spent on the first team but you get the history), the rest are all work in progress. Are we really any further away from Champions League football now than Man City were last season if you are going to throw hundreds of millions at it?
-
I loved Ginola's celebrations for his goals against Man U (5-0) and Ferencvaros at home!

People are going soft on this nob now, just cos we are sitting pretty at the top of the league doesn't mean s*** head should get off lightly.
The players and Chris Hughton have saved this c*** a whole load of s*** from the fans for collecting the points we have so far.
If we continued our meltdown and were floating about the bottom and i'd bet people wouldnt be going soft.
This is like when Oliver Cromwell pushed to have the Kings head loped off, cut the f***er off and be done with it.
maybe not.
It is disappointing how winning a few games in the Second Division, seems to have pacified a few people.
It is the S E C O N D D I V I S I O N (whatever it's called this week) for goodness sake, it means nothing at all that we are beating a load of 'nothingness' teams, that are even worse than the middle and lower Premier League 'nothingness' teams that we should have been thrashing last season.
As someone wrote a few posts back - the best you can describe this useless time-wasting season as, is as a "Gap Year".
Disagree. In principle, yes of course, we're not winning in the top division. In principle, a club of this size belongs in the top division. However, I disagree that this year is a waste of time. We have needed that winning feeling for a few seasons now. We have desperately needed for the focus to be on the football pitch rather than the director's box/manager seat/underperforming superstar/tabloids etc....
We are still a considerable way off that
The Keegan affair, the "takeover" from the hideous Ashley, etc, etc.
Meanwhile, we are in the Second Division.
Yes there'll always be stories about us in the media regardless, but ask around, and I think you'll find that most people aren't bothered anymore to some extent. The football has given us a respite and something to shout about. I think it's absolutely stupid to take one side or another in the whole Keegan vs Ashley affair because the team are giving us the chance to unite and just enjoy the football for a bloody change. There's nothing we can do about the outcome of the tribunal or about the sale of the club.
I myself have chosen to stop fretting and grumbling, and just look forward to the next Kevin Nolan hattrick

The togetherness of the squad this season will prove invaluable, and it might, just might, be one of the first steps towards rectifying the disastrous decline of the last 3 or 4 years.
