  1.

I thought we were in for one hell of a ride when our owner would break news to the fans by wearing a new player's name on his back (Coloccini).

Some great times ahead I thought...

  2. I believe today will see a significant sea change in things at St James Park

 By a landslide, it was about 4 points

    2 points

    So not a landslide then

Certainly not a landslide, but IIRC they won their last 15 games or were unbeaten since before christmas?

  6. Congratulations David, for screwing us out of an easy £20m (or in other words, apparently £15m and Taylor).

Would like to see where transfer funds will come from now.

Moyes is an absolute crackhead. he's been shown up as an absolute amateur.

This was a great chance to get money that was way over what Lescott was worth and hence been able to invest it all in the team and he has blown it completely. When you consider Everton don't have much money either it really is insane.

Man City were desperate and Everton could have probably even got one of Dunne, Kompany, Zabaleta or Onuoha in return along with some money.

This summer we've seen Wenger allow Toure and Adebayor to leave when the money got silly and we've even seen Ronaldo been allowed to leave when the money got silly. It's freakin' Joleon Lescott for crying out loud! £20 million!

    Epic fail Moyes.

I agree in principle. But what if Moyes couldn't agree deals for Lescott's replacement? What if any clubs he talked to were hiking up the prices of their own players knowing Everton were due a 20m windfall?

Many things could have gone on behind the scenes, especially if there was going to be a transfer merry-go-round resulting from this Lescott deal.

  7. Man City end interest in Lescott!!! Good news hopefully.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

How screwed is Lescott now! In my opinion Moyes is an absolute numpty.

    Excellent.

Lets hope its the knock on effect we all want. Was hoping Taylor himself would reject the move outright, would boost his profile at our club no end.

I think it's bollocks tbh. Moyes will now realize he can't keep him unhappy, so will go back to City on the last day and say you can have him for 17m, and still be in with a chance to buy Taylor.

    It's not over yet.

  8. What if the club has indeed been sold to the nameless Middle Eastern consortium Thomo told us about?

What if the sale is only validated once the wages have been reduced to a certain amount (hence the player sales)?

What if Moat has just been in on an elaborate scheme to help keep the media and fans "entertained" while all of this takes place behind the scenes.

    What if I am ITK?

What if we did go to the moon, landed and found Skeletor sitting naked playing chess with Beastman.

I'd be wondering how the f*** he gets online from up there.

    interplanet connection?

      :pow:

  9. £6m

if that doesn't get Ashley killed, nowt will

For me, his potential alone is worth 10m. Add to that the fact that he's English and a local boy, and 15m would be a fair price for him. When the likes of Walcott, Curtis Davies, and Ashley Young are going for these prices, I see no reason why Taylor should cost any less.
