  1. Joey Barton: I'm innocent in Agbonlahor row

JOEY BARTON has insisted his clash with Gabriel Agbonlahor in last night’s victory over Aston Villa at St James’s Park was “much ado about nothing”

    http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/11/04/joey-barton-i-m-innocent-in-agbonlahor-row-72703-22178115/

Always well spoken. Shame he's been a complete muppet in the past. He's definitely captain material for any club.

  2. Didnt say, thoguth enrique was dodgy last night in defence with agbonlahor running down the wing. made poor decisions in those situations for me. Also though, Yes we won but KINNEAR. f***ing HELL MAN, THAT GAME WAS BEGGING FOR SUBS. s**** SUBS AGAINST WEST BROM, SUNDERLAND AND NOW VILLA, ZOG SHOULD HAVE COME ON FOR DUFF FOR ME WITH ABOUT 20 TO GO. Villa were picking up the game a bit at that time and duff was anonymous.

wrong. Duff helped create the 2nd goal by creating the space for Jonas to run into, taking a marker with him. Duff also ran with the ball and kept it long enough for teammates to join him (running the clock down).

  3. Loud and proud tonight, lads.

Make it one hell of an atmosphere like you did against City and lets see what happens.

I will be, North East corner like but I make my own noise.

    Can just imagine it.

    ".................KIN LOVE YOU MARTINS...."

    It was more......

HA HA HA HA HA MILNER, I SEE YOU STILL CAN'T CROSS THE FKN BALL, WEAK ARSE CORNER TAKER

you really showed him there tough guy

  4. Given - 7

    Beye - 7

    Enrique - 8

    Coloccini - 8

    Taylor - 7

    Duff - 7

    Gutierrez - 8

    Butt - 7

    Barton - 7

    Martins - 8

    Ameobi - 8

That's the first game I've seen us play in a very long time where all eleven players were on their game at the same time, and in tune with each other, without any obvious weak links.

What a fkn game my voice has gone, nothing but a slight croack

Nothing a mouthful of cum wont solve!  :shepherd:

Always knew you were a lass. Please share more of your experiences with us  :cheesy:

  5. I'd keep Shola and Martins for now..

Depends on the conditions at Fulham i'd say. If the pitch isn't up to much, then maybe we shouldn't risk Owen. But as has been said, when Owen is fit he must play. Especially that he was in decent form before his injury, and was looking sharper with every game.

  6. I'd not bring owen back in yet

Me neither, but I don't really think that's an option. If he's fit, he'll play.

This isn't going to happen either, but a reserve game would probably do him good.

Ideally, yes he should be eased back in. But let's not forget he's our top scorer.

let's not forget he isn't, in the league anyway

Fair enough. Our best goalscorer. How's that?  >:D

    :dave:

    Gis' a kiss like  :-*

  7. I wouldn't make any changes. Shola and Martins have been effective, and it's important that the players get the message that if they play well, they keep their place.

I certainly wouldn't change the formation to bring in Owen, because the players need to develop a better understanding and confidence in one another. There's a good balance to the team going forward at the moment, and we can actually get better.

Correct. However I see it as a backbone of Given, Coloccini, Beye, Barton, Jonas and Owen, with the rest of the team built around them. I'd hoy Enrique in there as he's the more natural left back we have, and is slowly kick-starting his season.

  8. I'd not bring owen back in yet

Me neither, but I don't really think that's an option. If he's fit, he'll play.

  9. If you asked me that question before JK took over I would say Shola any day. But with the physical presence Shola shown up front in the last few games, he will give the other striker some extra needed space to work on. Right now it's Martins and Owen fighting for the other place.

Is it just me, or does Shola look to have beefed up well and proper now? Doesn't seem too frail for his frame anymore, and although he still gives freekicks away, he's looking a lot stronger.

  10. I'd not bring owen back in yet

Me neither, but I don't really think that's an option. If he's fit, he'll play.

  11. Dont know if its been said but liked the way all the outfield players celebrated the goals together, there does not seem to be any cliques in the group, all in it together!

Yes. At the end of the match the cameras showed our bench, and all subs were on their feet clapping their teammates off, while on the pitch players went around congratulating one another, especially Jonas who embraced Barton, Coloccini and Duff from what I could see. Small things like that show a far greater team spirit of late, and it's wonderful to see. Also Shola and even Owen were all smiles

  12. He could smoke a few joints and wouldn't look more relaxed on the pitch. The boy's really calm and it's reassuring to have someone like that playing for you.

    Spot on.

I wanna go out on the piss with him.  You know the fanny will be dripping in his presence and I might get a few of his cast offs.

Just imagine what you would get if Jonas tags along as well!

Trust me. Nowt like going out on the drink with Pete Ramage. Stand next to him in a club and you're Brad Pitt or James Bond. Pussy galore my friend.

  13. The only reason it was loud and proud against City was due to events on the pitch.

    Thats what makes atmospheres.

I think events at Bolton last night, and in the premier league standings should be reason enough the neet

  14. Some players who have left genuinely deserved stick on their return (Mr Ginola for example) but I don't see what Milner has done wrong.

He's not the gretest player but he always tried his best for us despite the fact that he was treated pretty badly re previous moves to Villa.

les Ferdinand always (deservedly) gets a great reception but he refuseed to pull the plug on the Spurs deal when we asked for him back when Shearer got injured.

The Les Ferdinand malarkey boils my piss as well. When he came on and scored against us for Leicester there were gimps in the crowd cheering and he was scoring for the opposition.

He couldn't hit a barn door for us when it really mattered in 1996.

    Good point that actually.

What was it, 4 goals from January onwards that season?

He scored 21 between August and December and then 5 from January to May.

Basically he Choked when the heat was turned up.

I think this misses the point

    a) He wasn't the only player who "choked" during the run in.

    b) He is popular because he always gave 100% commitment, never hid and has been an excellent ambassador for the club since.

Popularity with the fans is rarely based on ability alone

Rob Lee also "choked" when the heat was on. Hit something like 15 goals before Christmas and then disappeared from view in the last three months iirc.

Let's not kid ourselves. As much as we all love him dearly, it was Keegan who choked really. He let his passion and fervor overcome himself, and was unlucky to have been facing a cold hard bastard in SAF.

  15. Pompey have another left back who we were linked with in the summer Behaldi or something, cant remember and he looks immense going forward. Saw him against Fulham and he was absolutley brilliant going forward, dnt really get much chance to see him defend. Would definitely be worth a look.

Looked quite hardcore to me. Algerian lad IIRC
