Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Newcastle United (10/12/23)

I think we would have beat Spurs today at SJP. Based on absolutely nothing. -

Sorry this is on Howe now. Get fucking Hall on at least and save some legs for Milan. -

No point whatsoever trying to press them high up, they are bypassing us and we are racking up dead KMs that we can’t afford. Get compact behind the ball and save the legs for the counter. -
He’s done a great job but worth remembering Villa were spending Big 6 type money in the two or three seasons before he arrived. They already had a very strong squad.

Fuck Arsenal.
-
Feel sick now we only beat these chumps 1-0.

Osimhen is another who will cost £100m+ and have multiple suitors. We aren’t in that race, surely.

Everton vs. Newcastle United: 7/12/23 @ 19:30 (Amazon Prime)
Novocastrian replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
I don't generally see fatigue being a factor in this match, that will come at Spurs. Everton have lost to every team in and around us this season, last year they ramped the atmosphere up to insane levels and we still quietened them down early on and then seized control of the game. We should win this one if we take our chances. -
Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
Novocastrian replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
No way Dortmund lose to PSG. Finish second and it’s Real, Barca, Man City etc. no chance. We must actually be favourites to nick second spot, put Milan to the sword and we are through. -
The bitterness comes from their fall in status, they were one of the architects of the PL which was designed to strengthen their position but they were quickly overtaken by other clubs including Keegan's NUFC. They've never really got over it and haven't seriously challenged at the top of the league for over 30 years now.

Is this Howe’s first defeat to a team in the bottom half since he’s been here?
-
Don’t think the musical chairs have helped. Joelinton out wide left, then up front, then in midfield, Trippier right back, left back, Livramento left back, right back. Gordon up front, then wide etc.

Jesus bring Tino on not Ritchie.

He was so close to being a Balon d’or winner, if it wasn’t for a series of totally unconnected events that were beyond his control.

Bournemouth vs. Newcastle United: 11/11/23 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)
Novocastrian replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
We can still put out a strong team and should win. However, most of the backups are now starting and the backups to the backups are now just the backups. -
Why not just a total ban then? That would then cut off that avenue for all clubs in the future including the likes of Liverpool etc and clubs looking at multi-club arrangements. No just a temporary ban a month before the transfer window opens…… I maintain that the ESL 5 (excluding Citeh) are boxing themselves into a corner trying to contain us, things like FFP are starting to affect them too.

Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Newcastle United (07/11/23)

We’ve got nothing to give here, looked a bit naive in both games. -

Happy with this, the youngsters will give us energy. Willock and Big Joe linking down the left. Gordon and Almiron to come on for last 30 mins to administer the coup de grâce. -
He’s a freak of nature, he’s got the anticipation, strength, power and pace to not only win his defensive battles but to spring into attack. No wonder we pushed the button on his transfer. He’ll be an England regular for many years.

Newcastle United 1-0 Arsenal (04/11/23) - Post match reaction from p. 46
Novocastrian replied to Yorkie's topic in Football
Havertz is a massive cunt but that wasn’t a red, seen Lascelles, Burn etc do those half a dozen times a season. We’ve fallen straight into their trap reacting like that. Should have been a mental note and a big Joe. Straightener in the second half. -

We should be over powering a midfield with Jorginho and Havertz. This is poor. -

I’m sure his left foot and right foot are on the wrong legs.
